Daily Vegas ~ Ball caps at the Playground = BAD IDEA!!

Someone once told me there were more parks/playgrounds in Las Vegas than any other major city. I like most was pretty shocked by this, until I started looking around. I think it just could be true! No one ever thinks of Vegas as being family friendly, but it sure can be.

I am loving the weather in Vegas lately. It has been raining, (which doesn’t happen much) and the humidity is up. The temperature has been chilling in the low 70s which is PERFECT. So we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and head out to a park for some play before the sun went away for the evening.

Remember me mentioning the humidity had been up just a moment ago? Well, my hair was a bit crazy and so I threw on a ball cap to tame the wild hair. We got to the park, and as per usual Squish was everywhere! It was all fun and games until…

BAM!

I smacked headfirst into a metal edging that I thought I had ducked down far enough to clear. But because I was wearing a ball cap, I couldn’t see that I wasn’t going to clear it.

This is the metal that my head decided it needed to make contact with….

My whole body was thrown backwards, my neck crackled, some random father on the playground said “Uh Oh.” I was down.

I wasn’t out, I was aware, but I knew I needed to just sit for a bit. And sit I did. I am fine, but ouch. I am sure tomorrow is not going to feel good.

Lesson learned, no ball caps while chasing little toddlers… I did get some good pictures though! And there is nothing more amazing then watching my Squishy run, play, learn, and explore. He is such a little boy. I love this age!
