Shortly after arriving at Blogher in San Diego, I was one of the lucky mom bloggers to be escorted by Mom Central out the beautiful island of Coronado for an afternoon playdate with Step2 and Infantino.
The home in Coronado Island (complete with sunlight, salty air, and spectacular views) was beautiful and gave the feeling like we were all celebrating a baby shower. Sweet strawberry lemonade, creative tabletop decorations, a candy bar, and some tasty food all set the scene for a preview of some of the newest products and trends that Infantio and Step2 wanted to share.
After decorating some ducks (Duck-o-rating) and enjoying some tasty food, we were treated to an intimate look at some of the newest products Step2 and Infantino have to offer.
Infantino has so much going on right now. My personal favorite (as I am an avid baby-wearer) was their new wrap carrier.
The Kimono easy wrap carrier is exactly as it’s name states. It is a baby carrier designed to make wraps easy for everyone.
They started by adding a buckle belt which really allows more stabilty and the perfect starting point when you are new and nervous about wrapping your infant.
The carrier is tremendously easy to use, and designed to grow with your baby. Perhaps the best part is the price point. At $34.99 everyone can afford to dive into the world of baby-wearing.
The wrap is designed for newborns up to toddlers (32lbs). At the event we were able to see it used on two adorable babies, Riley and Dexter (9weeks, and 6months respectively.) Both babies seemed to really enjoy the carrier, as did their moms!
Infantino also shared their newest collection of infant toys – the comforting play collection. Which is perfect for giving any new or expecting mom an amazing baby shower gift basket!
We were able to really get hands on with these products and I have to tell you I am thrilled with the softness and quality of them. I was able to make a gift basket which I plan on giving to a friend of mine who is expecting her first baby. (Although I did have to keep a few things for any future kiddos we may have as they were too cute to part with!)
Finally, Infantino shared their newest product The Right Angle – Tummy Time Triangle! This product is something every mom is going to want to have. Physical Therapists use similar designs when working with children on strengthening their muscles, but they can be way pricey!
At $39.99 this is a steal. Especially when you consider all the benefits your baby will gain by using it! It was actually designed in collaboration with the Pediatric Occupation Therapists.
The Right Angle Tummy Time Triangle is disigned to help your infant:
- Establish Head Control
- Gain Neck and Arm Strength
- Lift Torso and Reach Forward
Clearly Infantino has their finger on the pulse of what moms of infants need and want in their lives!
Next Step2 shared what was new in their world. While they have several adorable new products like this elephant slide and ride on zebra, Step2 really wanted to focus on their imagination play kitchens. Step2 is really making an effort to give families the type of play kitchen they really want. They are focusing on design, storage, and are going to be offering a couple different options.
You know we are already big fans of the Step2 Sand and Water Table, but I can’t wait to purchase a new kitchen playset for my son. I love that Step2 gives children the tools to use their imaginations by creating kitchens designed after real life examples.
Here are two examples of the kitchens they offer and an adorable build and block table that is also an art table! When it comes to play tables and kitchens Step2 is clearly an industry leader!
We had a blast and went home with some goodies to share with our family and friends. I truely think that this playdate was one of the most fun and relaxed events that I was able to participate in during my Blogher11 experience.
Thank you Mom Central, Step2, and Infantino!
Disclosure: We went home with a few goodies courtesy of Infantino and Step2 after the play-date. No monetary compensation was given for this post. All opinions are 100% my own and honest.
