My favorite Uncle Ben’s product is the Ready Rice which can be prepared in 90 seconds!

It makes a super easy, healthy side dishes for my whole family!

As you can see below, my son enjoys it so much he doesn’t even have the patience to use his fork!

Michele Powers, registered dietitian and chef, helped UNCLE BEN’S® develop the below creative and fun ways to incorporate whole grain brown rice into everyday meals:

Ten Ways to enjoy Uncle Ben’s Rice!

1. For a fiber filled risotto use whole grain brown rice; add vegetables – asparagus or zucchini – to increase nutritional value

2. Substitute brown rice for pasta in casseroles and soups.

3. Add cooked whole grain brown rice to your favorite dip; serve with whole grain crackers or cut vegetables for a nutrient packed snack.

4. For a power breakfast: add cooked whole grain rice to low fat cottage cheese and top with chopped fruit.

5. Mix cooked whole grain brown or wild rice with blueberries, add to a whole grain pancake mix for a delicious and nutritious breakfast.

6. Try making your own veggie burgers: combine cooked wholegrain brown rice, chopped vegetables, cooked black beans, an egg, and chopped nuts. Sauté patties in olive oil in a skillet and serve on a whole grain bun with your favorite toppings.

7. For an easy, fiber filled guacamole: mash avocado, mix in salsa and cooked brown rice.

8. Use cooked whole grain brown rice in seafood cakes with tuna, salmon, or crab; a great gluten-free alternative.

9. Mix cooked whole grain brown or wild rice into chunky peanut butter and serve with sliced apples for a balanced snack.

10. Add leftover cooked whole grain brown rice into any hot cereal and top with cinnamon and a drizzle of honey.

What is your favorite way to incorporate Uncle Ben’s Rice in your dinners?

Believe it or not, we use Uncle Ben’s rice a lot in culinary school. We used it today to make paella and it was amazing! It also makes a really great rice pilaf.

After I initially left a comment I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is a way you can remove me from that service? Cheers!
