Dear Squishy,
Today you climbed up on my lap and said,
“I’m NOT baby anymore, I’m Squishy.”
While you used your real name, I looked up at my mom in horror. Had the day she been warning me about finally come to fruition?
I cried… ( a real tear people!)
My uterus ached…
Finally I turned back to you and said,
“Yes, silly boy. You are not a baby anymore, you are a big boy. But can I tell you a secret?”
I leaned in to your ear and whispered…
“You will always be MY baby.”
No matter how old, no matter what you do, you will always be my baby.
Xoxxo,
Mama
*Dear Squishy is my version of (a less than) Wordless Wednesday where each week I write a letter to my son.

This is so true. Our babies are always our babies. I will always remember a time when my 80 something grandpa told my mother to put on a coat because it was cold outside. The love never stops.

I agree, they will always be our babies. I tell my son that all the time and my husband always says, he is growing up into a big boy. It is amazing how fast they grow and learn.
