You pretty much have to be hiding under a rock these day to not have heard of Tim Tebow.
Even if you aren’t a football fan, Tim Tebow is pretty much everywhere these days. His popularity has soared in the past few years, not only for his excellent football skills, (FYI – I’m not a Denver Broncos fan – GO PACK GO!) but mainly for his tendency to get down on one knee and pray before a game, after plays, pretty much when he sees fit. This action is known as Tebowing.
Tebowing has gained momentum both in the football world and out.
So what is Tebowing?
According to Tebowing.com (*) – Tebowing(vb) is to get down on a knee and start praying, even if everyone else around you is doing something completely different.
Now, I am a religious person, but religious or not, I can’t help but wonder if Tim Tebow doesn’t have THE secret to success.
Think about it! For a moment or two before any big game, after a major play, Tim Tebow takes a knee. While he is praying, he is also reflecting.
Could reflection help you meet your goals faster?
Imagine taking a moment or two to reflect on your very short term goals every time you lace up your shoes, or step foot into a gym.
A minute to shut out all outside interruptions and disturbances and focus only on the task at hand.
A brief second to remind your body what you came to accomplish today.
Imagine what an impact that could have on your fitness goals.
Imagine what impact this could have on your life.
What is Tebowing?
(vb) to get down on a knee and start praying, even if everyone else around you is doing something completely different.
Maybe we should all start doing something different and take a moment to set our head before the game.
(Proof you don’t have to be a Denver Broncos fan to love Tim Tebow – or Tebowing!)

Bronco’s fan here! Love this post. I love Tim Tebow. He holds true to himself and if you listen to his interviews he stays humble. He never sounds cocky and gives credit where it is due.

Of he truly is taking time to focus and prepare – great. But if he believes in a god that had time for organized sports – then that is one whacked religion

I agree, taking some time to ask God for help and give thanks makes a huge difference in everything. Even fitness!
Coming over from FFBH!
