Dear Squishy,
What is it about boys and their toys? I made a pretty concerted effort to make sure you had a lot of variety of toys. Yes, you had cars, but you also had dolls. You had pink toys, blue toys, girl toys, boy toys…
Regardless the moment a car comes into your view you FREAK OUT!
Heading down the toy aisle in Target is a scheduled like a mission. Focus on the task at hand, distract, distract, distract.
The moment you wake up, cars/trucks/trains/planes are on your brain! You have even been stopping prior to coming into our room to bring one into our bed in the morning! Gosh forbid you go more than 10 hours (sleeping) without a car in your hand. I know for a fact that there is not a toy car out there that you have not liked!
I love your passion for all things that go. You talk to your cars, you name your cars, you remember who gave you which car. You line them up, you count them out. You play hours on end with your imagination learning about cars, and learning everyday skills. You share your cars, and you take care car of your cars.
I have no idea where life will lead you. If you so choose, you would make a fantastic, caring, and smart mechanic! But the attention to detail you show at such a young age tells me you will be great at whatever task or job you choose to put your mind to.
Xoxxo,
Mama

Cute! Boys will be boys won’t they. My sons both have/had dolls. My husband’s family laughed when I bought my son (2 at the time) a purple doll stroller for Christmas. He loved his baby doll and loved to push the stroller.
Then they get a tad bit older, something changes and it’s all boy from there on out, isn’t it. LOL

You might have a future Engineer there Mom! My son was fascinated with dinosaurs, he pronounce the long names, identify which ones were herbivores and carnivores. At first my son wanted to be a Paleontologist, but my little boy is 21 now and a dancer! Another something you don’t very much of. I more proud of him today because of his choice.
Your doing a good job Mom!!! You need to know that!

Hello! I was reading your letter as my son is obsessed and watches cars 4-5 times a day. I have over 3,000 cars/trucks/planes/trains etc. He’s 2.5, I’m looking for mechanic toys he has the car engine already. He loves changing tires but can’t find anything. Any suggestions?
