I noticed over the weekend a lot of my Facebook friends that took their kids, seemed to think it was too scary/intense for younger kids. I want to see it, by my 9-year-old son, says it’s for girls and doesn’t want to see it. 🙂

We loved the movie. The bear scenes did upset my daughter, age 4, a little.

I agree that care should be taken with young children. It can get intense.

Great review! I agree, the visual effects were stunning and I really loved the mother/daughter relationship as well! I brought my 3 year old and my 13 year old with me to the screening and they both LOVED it! Looking forward to seeing it again this weekend!
