Goodbye Daddy | Dear Squishy

June 12, 2012 By Emily 33 Comments

Dear Squishy,

Your daddy has deployed for his job again, and he already misses you something crazy.  I hope you know how much your daddy wishes he could be here with you all the time, but he is doing his job for our family.

I can’t believe we are already on our 4th deployment since you have been born!

Your daddy is your biggest fan, and there isn’t a day that goes by that he isn’t thinking about you.  I love the relationship you have formed with your dad.  Even when he is gone he is still your favorite hero.  You two are just too cute together!  I love watching both my boys and your special bond.

1st Deployment - 5 months old!

2nd Deployment - 13 months

3rd Deployment - 21(ish) months

4th Deployment - 3 years old

Don’t forget no matter how long daddy is gone, he will always come home.

I look forward to sharing the welcome home pictures when he returns!!

Xoxxo,
Mama

*Dear Squishy is my version of (a less than) Wordless Wednesday where each week I write a letter to my son.

I teared up too! I remember my daddy going on navy med cruises when I was little. It’s never easy – but the homecomings are so wonderful!

Oh Em, it seems like he just got back! Hopefully he isn’t gone for too long with you being pregnant again. If you need to talk please contact me, as you know M was deployed while I was pregnant with MA. Oh, and I gotta say, your hubby has lost a LOT of weight in the past 3 years! 🙂 Take care honey! Lots of love!

Well, I know it won’t be easy being pregnant and having a little one to take care while your hubs is gone, but you’ve got some fun things planned for this summer to shake things up a bit. Take care and I look forward to seeing you next month!
