One of the things I love to do in my free time is to dine out. I have always enjoyed trying new restaurants and finding new favorites. My husband is the same way. When we have date nights you will often find us dining out. Before I lived in Las Vegas, I lived in Chicago. I started a “Must Try” list of restaurants all over the city. When we moved to Las Vegas, I kept up the list (although I have to admit, frequent deployments and starting a family have slowed us down quite a bit.). I love supporting local businesses by spending date nights at their restaurants.
Dine Local Dish Mobs Campaign
Many of you are very passionate about helping out independently owned restaurants and so is Restaurant.com. In fact, each year Restaurant.com helps fill nearly 5.5 million tables at independently owned restaurants nationwide. To help support this cause Restaurant.com has paired up with Cash Mobs founder Andrew Samtoy, to launch the Dine Local Dish Mobs campaign. This is a national event to encourage restaurant goers to dine at local, independently owned restaurants. The campaign starts on September 24th and goes through October 7th. Restaurant.com is encouraging consumers to patronize independently owned was started in 2011 by Andrew Samtoy. The concept was set up to help independently owned businesses within a community thrive by sending consumers to each business on a designated date and time. The partnership gives them the ability to extend the reach and rejuvenate local restaurants. Through social media and word-of-mouth, they are hoping the camaraderie can spread to communities in other cities.
Las Vegas isn’t one of the 5 major markets chosen to host this event, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get out and support local restaurants. Why not dine out once during this two week campaign and help support your local business! Best part is you are sure to have fun and leave with a full belly!

That’s awesome! I love to dine too out, that going to the movies 🙂
They unfortunately don’t have a fun choice of restaurants in our area. Hoping that changes soon though
I love local dining. I live in a small community where restaurants.com does not have a presence but love using their services when I travel to the city 🙂
We’re so spoiled for choice here in Charleston… I love getting out and dining local! We actually have two great restaurant weeks here to showcase the fabulous food!
