We don’t go to a professional but just head out to the beach with my camera. We try to do it at least once a year.

Those are gorgeous photos! I love close up, non traditional poses and your cousin nailed it beautifully. It’s great that you have photos taken often. I was really good about it with my first two children, but not so good since my youngest turned 3. When my babies were born, I had photos taken every month on the birth date, for the first year, then every three months, birthdays and holidays. I can’t even tell you the last time we had professional portraits taken! My son graduates from his high school/entry to college program next May and I’m having professional photos taken–he isn’t thrilled!
