It’s that time of the year again! With the holidays in full swing the Elf on the Shelf is back! Our Elf on the Shelf “Freckles” will make his return to our home tonight in time for his regular December 1st arrival.
Freckles would love to be as creative as some of the amazing images he finds on Pinterest, but let’s face it… it’s a busy time of the year! So this year he is going to keep it simple but still creative with Elf of the Shelf! I thought it would be fun to share a list of 40 easy ideas for the elf on the shelf that are simple yet still creative.
To compile this list I called on my friend Becca from Jumping Jax Designs and her adorable elf’s ideas from last year, Pinterest, as well as Freckle’s simple ideas.

Love the last one! My hubs and I were wanting to start that tradition this year as well, so far our elf has been hanging around the higher points in the room since Mia still doesn’t get the idea of no touchie… Thanks for the awesome ideas!!

We don’t do elf on the shelf for personal reasons but I always love seeing all the creative ideas. I know I couldn’t come up (or remember!) to do half of them. I shared so those who I know love the elf can get some creative juices flowing.
