What if I told you there was a new kitchen gadget that cooks the most moist chicken breasts in 20 minutes that is full of flavor? I’ve tried for years to figure out how to cook moist chicken breasts quickly. It always seems like such a delicate balance!
This and SO much more is all possible with Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven.
The Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven is a must have for anyone who is crunched on time but doesn’t want to sacrifice flavor or resort to take out. I’m going to be honest, I wasn’t sure about this when I agreed to test it out for review. I worried that it would just take up precious room on my counter. Even my husband wasn’t excited about it. He wondered out loud why on earth we needed another oven when we moved into a new build home 4 years ago that had a double oven and then mumbled under his breath I only used one of those ovens. (Both true statements – I can count on 2 hands the number of times I’ve used the second oven in our home.)
I let him grumble for awhile and then I unpacked the oven, cleaned off a spot on my counter (it does take a bit of space at 19.5” long x 13” wide x12.5” high), and began to read the directions and recipes. The I discovered I could cook an 11 pound spiral sliced ham in less than 25 minutes, and I texted him to share the information and told him to pick up a ham on his way home. Suddenly my doubting husband was excited. He LOVES ham. I don’t often cook it because it can take 3-4 hours to cook. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had 3-4 hours to cook. When he got home he too began to read the instructions and manual. He spent the better part of 30 minutes telling me all we could do with this oven.
After allowing the oven to run for 1 hour as instructed together we attempted to cook our ham. The pressure function on Wolfgang Puck’s Pressure Oven to cook food (Bake, Roast, Broils, and More) 3 times faster while still retaining the moisture!
I loved that I didn’t need to preheat my oven. That alone saved me 10+ minutes!! We then spent the next 25 minutes oohing and awing over the pressure cooker. Although, it became very clear at about 18 minutes I should have used the roasting pan instead as the top of the ham started to burn. So our ham, burnt on the top, was done. And let me tell you it was still delicious!
After our speedy ham experiment we were ready to take on another challenge. While I loved the idea that I can cook a whole turkey in under an hour, I didn’t have much need for a whole turkey. Instead I decided to give chicken breasts a try. I marinated the chicken breasts for several hours and then popped them in the oven at 375 for 20 minutes on the pressure cooking mode.
What happened when I removed the chicken from the oven and sliced it up actually made me say “Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!”
The chicken was moist, tender, perfectly cooked, and filled with flavor!
My husband and I are actually cooking together in the kitchen now. Usually I do the meal planning, but he was so impressed with the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven he is planning meals with me! He even told the guys at work about the oven! Next up we plan on trying out the rotisserie function!! After that we agreed to try Salmon!
By the way I feel the need to mention with the holidays right around the corner that this oven can cook a whole turkey in 1 hour!!
All in all, I am beyond pleased with this Pressure Oven. The simple fact that it cooks flavor filled meals and cuts the cooking time drastically is worth the loss of the counter space. Plus I am rather enjoying cooking with my husband!

This sounds great for days where I forget to throw dinner in the crock pot. Can you cook frozen chicken breasts in it? I’d love to be able to throw some frozen breasts in an oven and have them come out that perfectly!

I tried this tonight and it did not turn out all that great. What mode did you do this in ( broil, roast, bake, rotisserie? )and where was the rack placed? Lower, middle, high???
Mine was moist but the outside didn’t cook right. It almost looked and felt like it was boiled.
Suggestions?
