Because I hated the synthetic fragrances in disposables (also very irritating to sinuses) and I was horrified that the area the diaper covers was lighter than the rest of my son’s body – not because he was in the sun but because of the whitening chemicals they use in the disposable diapers

I haven’t used cloth diapers yet. I will start in January when my daughter is born. I want to use them because it will cost me way less in the long run and they will be safer for her. My other 2 children were allergic to most disposable diaper brands!
