Happy 5th Birthday To My Son!

My son, my first born – squishy little baby turns five today.

I can hardly believe it’s been five years since I first held him in my arms and inhaled his intoxicating newborn scent.

My whole life when people asked me what I wanted to be, a mother was always the first thing in my mind and often out of my mouth.

I’m so blessed to have been chosen as his mother.  Sometimes I feel like I learned more in the past 5 years than in all the schooling I had growing up.  He certainly is one of the major influencers in my life.  Nothing is done without him in the back of my mind.

He is the best big brother.  He really truly has the heart of a little father.  For me watching him grow as a brother was like falling in love with him all over again. It’s just the best.

I love being a mother, and while I am so sad that the years are flying by so quickly, I’m so excited to see what the next 5 years will bring.

I wish I would have done a video for him each year, but instead I put together this video from his first five years of life. I think his sweet and sassy personality shines through in this video.  Many tears were spilled putting this together. (Mostly happy…)

    Awe, happy birthday big boy… Time flies so quickly… Mine will be 4 this August and my other two will be 8 and 6 in December… I am so sad… I miss having a ‘baby!’

    Happy Birthday, K! He is such a handsome little man. I love all the adorable photos in the video. I think my favorite is of him sitting in the big chair on the beach with his hat. So cute!
