Comments on: Andy Pandy Bamboo Diapers – When Cloth Isn’t An Option https://ourknightlife.com/2014/07/andy-pandy-bamboo-diapers-cloth-isnt-option.html Las Vegas Mom Blogger | Family, Fitness, Product Reviews Mon, 06 Mar 2017 21:18:35 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.6.1 By: Tim https://ourknightlife.com/2014/07/andy-pandy-bamboo-diapers-cloth-isnt-option.html#comment-61319 Mon, 06 Mar 2017 21:18:35 +0000 http://www.familylifeinlv.com/?p=18375#comment-61319 I just bought the Andy Pandy diaper in February 2017 from diapers.com (180 ct size small) for $73.98 minus 17% off coupon) for a final total of $68.38 (plus tax and free shipping). It’s pretty easy to find a 15-17% off online coupon for diapers.com. That works out to about $0.36 per diaper which is more than reasonable for a almost fully biodegradable diaper (86.7% not 100% according to Jessica Hansen). It’s also cheaper than the equivalent Bambo diapers which are not any better in my experience and cost closer to $0.50-$0.60/ct even in bulk. Even the good absorption non-earth friendly diapers are around $0.30 to $0.35/ct.

The Andy Pandys are a little bit large, but that might be a good thing if your newborn is on the hefty side or produces pee nonstop like mine does. The diaper is very well secured and I rarely get blow-outs or leaks.

Also if you’re trying to decide between different earth friendly diapers, I find that Andy Pandy ($$$) and Bambo ($$$$) are the best out of the ones I’ve tried. Naty by Nature diapers are terrible (leaks like mad because non-absorbent and poor fitting/securing gussets). Earth’s best are OK but too small for my newborn (9 lb) even though they’re supposed to be good up until 10 lb. I get blow-outs regularly and it feels completely soaked after one or two pees. I haven’t tried Seventh Generation but I can’t imagine that they would work any better than my Andy Pandys.

Thanks Emily!

I had never heard of these, so thanks for sharing. I am a cloth mama, but we definitely keep disposables around. And right now? Between my daughter’s yeast rash and my broken washer that won’t spin, we’re using all disposables. But I still want to make the safest decision possible for both my daughter and the environment. Yay for more good options!!

I absolutely HATE the chemicals in the typical disposables… but I am using them right now. I cloth diaper and then fall away and then come back to cloth, only to fall away again. I guess I get lazy. Thanks so much for listing all the great things about Andy Pandy Bamboo diapers – I had no idea that bamboo was so great. I just opened up the amazon link to these in another tab so that I can come back later today, I think I’m going to give these a try. THANKS!!

I’ll have to recommend this to my friend. On another note, I love how you added the scene from Despicable Me. That scene was one of my favorite parts of the movie!

We use cloth during the day but recently had to switch to disposables at night because my LO is a super soaker and soaks through a double stuff with hemp or bamboo as the second layer! I’ll have to check these out!

I’m going to look at these. We cloth diaper during the day but my son’s skin is too sensitive to be in wet cloth for 12 hours overnight. Right now we use a disposable nighttime diaper, but I think this would be a better option for us.

My son has such sensitive skin and these bamboo diaper didn’t irritate his skin.

These look awesome, I love how natural they are. We stopped cloth because of Olivia’s bad rashes. I am really going to look into hear for the girls.
