On St. Patrick’s Day a group of influential women in social media got together with one very special event in mind.

The “Green with Envy” Cox TV Connect TweetUP!

The goal? To share the Cox TV Connect app with not only several women in the Las Vegas area, but nationwide on twitter!

Having already shared how to get started with the Cox TV Connect app, and the many different uses of the Cox TV Connect app for your home, it was time to take the application to the masses!

Plans were made, questions were written, prizes were picked up and waiting for a happy home.  The grand prize was enough to make anyone twitter happy!

An iPad2!

So what exactly is a TweetUP?

According to Wiktionary.com:

tweetup

English

Etymology

Blend of tweet and meetup

Noun

tweetup (plural tweetups)

  1. A real-life meeting organized on the social networking web site Twitter.

Prior to the tweet up @ToniSpilsbury shared a “Twitter 101” class for all the people in attendance.

Everyone was versed in twitter for beginners and enjoyed their fill of some St. Patrick’s themed food.

Once everyone was full I passed out a fact sheet on the Cox TV Connect app.  Attendees then had a few moments to look them over and learn all about the Cox TV Connect app and it’s features.

Then the real fun began!

Unfortunately for me, I was unable to connect any device to the internet.  Too many Tweeters in one space.  Thankfully Lala alternated using my twitter name and hers for the event.  I was sad though, because I wasn’t able to do much RTing or extra shares during the event.

Every 5 minutes we tweeted out another question.  6 Questions total designed to highlight the key features of the Cox TV Connect app.

Check out the rest of our other fun questions!

      1. How many channels does the Cox Connect TV app offer?
      2. Name 3 places in your home you could use the Cox Connect TV app.
      3. How much does the Cox Connect TV app cost to download?
      4. What device do you need to download the Cox TV connect app?
      5. How many iPads can you have running concurrently? We can always wish 🙂
      6. Once logged in, how long will you stay logged in until you log out?

During the TweetUP our hashtag for the event was #CoxTV.  Having a hash tag is imperative to a tweetUP.  It allows us to see how many people and impressions we are making online, but also allowed us to draw our prize winners!

Congratulations are due to the lucky @ToniSpilsbury who took home a brand new iPad2!  I’m betting that the Cox TV Connect app will be her first app download!
