My family are big fans of Step2.  Besides having worked as an ambassador in the past, I have purchased several of their products for my family.  I love the quality of them, how much fun they are, and the creative additions they have.

For instance we love our Step2 Fort Hide Away Slide.  Step2 could simply have designed a slide, but instead added a fun tent feature to spark the creativity in my kids as they play with it.

It’s designed for ages 1 1/2 – 4 and requires no tools to assemble it.

One of the things I love the most about it is that when you aren’t using it, you can simply unsnap it and put it back the way it was sent to you for easy storage!!  No more bulky toys taking up space in the garage during the winter!

Or if you didn’t want to store it in the garage for the winter it’s actually small enough to use indoors as well!  The umbrella is great for sunny day, but it too is also easily broken down and stored away when you don’t need it.

My Review

Unlike some other Step2 Products this assembly on this kitchen was crazy simple!

I was able to have it put together from start to finish in less than 20 minutes.  As with any other Step2 product I do recommend carefully using a power screwdriver, otherwise your hand could get pretty tired.  There were very few screws in the Step2 Lifestyle Welcome Home Kitchen, so it was put together pretty quickly!

My son loves playing with this kitchen.  He loves cooking food for whomever will entertain him at the time.  The first thing he cooked for me was carrots, pancakes, and hot tea!  I love how he comes up with his meals, and watching the interesting ways he chooses to incorporate his other toys… Bet you didn’t know cars could cook!

I also love that there is a play phone in his kitchen.  I love listening to the pretend conversations he has with his friends.  It is really cute to watch.

The only thing I wish I had known prior to assembling it was there is no play food that comes with this kitchen. That is a separate purchase, but something we can easily add as well as more plates, silverware, or other Step2 accessories.

Living in Las Vegas can get really HOT!  But that doesn’t stop my almost three year old from wanting to go out and play.

From the moment the Step2 Tropical Island Resort arrived at our door, my son couldn’t wait to play with it.

I am NOT good at putting things together.  The directions are in black and white, so make sure you look closely at what you are looking for.  I had to undo a few screws because I used the wrong ones, but was able to figure out the directions, and 30 minutes later we were ready to play!

My son LOVED all the extra pieces and play items that came with it.  He thought the guy with the flippers on his feet was the funniest thing he had seen ALL day!

Finally it was time to play, and for the next hour and twenty minutes he played NON stop!

I really liked the added touches for the water table.  The umbrella will help protect him from that hot desert sun, and the pump action geyser was an added touch to make the whole table more sensory!

Squishy also really loved the monkey swinging from the trees.
