Squishapillar aka ~ Squish, Squishy, Melon, Little Man, Crazy Cakes, Bulldozer, Lovey, Sweetie Petey, Sweet Pea, Stinker Butt, Hamey, and Hambone.
Our lives were forever change on October 4, 2008. It was that day (also our 6 month anniversary) that we were surprised and ecstatic to discover we were expecting our first baby.
8 weeks |
After a somewhat difficult pregnancy (horrible sciatica and SPD) I was induced for pre-eclampsia. After laboring for over 26 hours, contractions every 2 minutes, giving into an epi after 20 hours, and never making it past 4cm, Squishy was born via C/S. He weighed in at a hefty 10lbs 2ozs, 20.5 inches. (My Dr. was expecting an 8 lbs baby … I tried to tell her he was big!)
Squish has been an amazing addition to our lives. My husband and I are constantly surprised at how much our love continues to grow for Squishapillar. He is a happy, outgoing, busy boy who is constantly on the move. I swear if they could tap into the amount of energy this little squish has and figure out a way to distribute it, coffee would be a thing of the past.
Squish is now one year old. We are stumbling into toddler-hood with tenative first steps, and loud first words. Squish is always on the go, and a little sponge. Everyday brings something new. Life with him is anything but boring. I am loving being a stay at home mom, and spending my days with Squish. Being a mom is by far and away the best job I have ever had.
