The second part of our Family Vacation to San Diego! Check out Part 1 of Knights on Vacation – San Diego if you missed it!
SeaWorld San Diego
What Animal vacation would be complete without a trip to SeaWorld! K was THRILLED to see the whales, dolphins, and sea lions!
Feeding the Sea Lions was a favorite of the whole family! K loves Sea Lions, but didn’t pay attention when he was told to watch out for the birds! They are quick little guys!
We dined with Shamu and had a lot of fun on the two water rides!
The highlight for me was the Dolphins! I had planned on taking a picture of the boys in front of the glass, but I could never have planned on what happened when I put Baby D down in front of the glass! Suddenly all the dolphins who were no where near them at first, swam right up to the glass and baby D! Everyone around us was oooing and awwwing! Seriously, it was WAY cool!
I think this Dolphin knew I was taking pictures because he even smiled for the camera! We had so much fun here we came back for a second day! The Madagascar Live picture was also a huge hit with the whole family! While K danced, Baby D fell asleep!
The USS Midway and Coronado Island
Our last little bit of the trip was something I wish would could have split into two days! We spend one day exploring the USS Midway and then hopped a ferry to Coronado Island! They were both amazing but trying to do them both in a day was a little much for the boys. Instead of enjoying dinner on the Island after playing on the beach we ended up catching an early ferry back to the mainland due some super tired boys! It was still such a fun day! Planes on a boat! I think my little boy’s mind was completely blown when he saw that in person!
I joked with my husband that if K wants to go into the Navy he will only have himself to blame! (He and his father were both Air Force)
After a warm day on the Midway the boys loved playing in the sand. Baby D had never been on a beach before, so it was a “first” for him.
K played and dug for a long time, while Baby D opted for a power nap.
Now If you know me, you know that this was only a small sampling of the pictures I took that week! I can’t wait to go back to San Diego one day again! Such a beautiful city! Our first vacation as a family of four was a blast!! I look forward to many more vacations and memory making trips with my boys!

You guys look like you’re having a blast! I love Sea World but ours (Florida) does not have the same type of glass enclosure – it’s perfect for kids to get up close and personal.
