I don’t think it is a coincidence that SKOY rhymes with Joy (while I am pretty sure this was not their intention, it still works for me). When Squish was born so was a desire to live a greener life. All of a sudden it wasn’t just about us anymore. I wanted to do what I could so that my son would have a better world to live in. One of the things we did was switch to cloth napkins, but I still found we were going through a lot of paper towels. From cleaning up a spill, to wiping down the kitchen, washing dishes, wiping hands, there was just so many things that I didn’t like doing with a simple dish towel. I felt like if I used the dish towel for everything I was constantly washing them…
When I was given the opportunity to do a review for eco-friendly SKOY Cloth I was really excited. I had heard a lot about them from other people who enjoyed using them, but I needed to see for myself.
SKOY cloth made an easy transition into our daily routine. I have one for wiping counters, one for wiping the baby highchair, one for dishes, and one for cleaning around the house. And since they are different colors, they don’t get mixed up for cross contamination. To clean them I can throw them in the dishwasher, the washing machine, or in the microwave if I just need to kill germs. Super easy. (Which is exactly what I like in my life.)
SKOY cloth is 100% biodegradable, and made from natural cotton and wood based cellulose pulp. They are dyed from water-based ink, and each cloth saves up to 15 rolls of paper towels. Since paper towels cost around $2 a roll, and you get 4 SKOY Cloths in a pack – that is around $100 in savings when you factor in the cost of SKOY($6.99 for a 4 pack). So even if going green isn’t your motive for switching over, $1o0 in savings is a great reason to make the switch.
SKOY recently added a larger SKOY cloth to their product line. This makes me happy!!
Now if they could just develop a SKOY cloth that could do all the cleaning for you!! – Although I imagine it would cost a bit more than $6.99.
On the Squish Rating Scale SKOY Cloth gets a Very Squishable! (Green for a Green Product)
(Disclaimer: The above is 100% my opinion and may differ from yours. I received a 4 pack of SKOY cloth to review. No monetary compensation was given for this review.)
SKOY has generously offered 2 – 4packs of SKOY Cloth to one lucky reader. Open to US and Canadian Residents.
