March 23, 2011 By Emily 18 Comments

Welcome to Week 32 of Toddler Talk Thursday! Where Family and Life in Las Vegas, Crazy about my Baybah, and My Life as a Sippy Cup Mom talk all things TODDLER!!

Toddler Talk Thursday was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other bloggers of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!

NEW TO Toddler Talk Thursday- WE ARE CHANGING HOW WE PICK THE FEATURED BLOG.

Each week the hosts will travel around to each blog to see what topic your suggest for the following week. If we choose your topic – you will be our featured blog. (Hey we need some fresh ideas!! And picking from your cuties is just too hard!)

In order to qualify for this you need to blog about this week’s topic, and follow the hosts.

And the end of your post – suggest a topic for next week.

Comments letting us know you are participating are always great too. If we choose your blog, we will link back to your post the following week.

Our highlighted blog this week is:

SAPsMaMa!

This week’s topic is :

What items make up your toddler’s toy box that aren’t really toys?

On any given day you are likely to find many different things in Squishy’s Toy Boxes.

His favorite thing to take right now are my hair-brushes.

But he has other favs too.  Usually there are many more “Unusual Toys” but we recently sorted through all the toys… So all I found was my hair-brush, my hand-weights, re-usable grocery bags, and an un-used snot sucker. (We gave it to him after he found it in a drawer…)

But really, his favorite “unusual toys” are his Auntie’s Buffy Books!  Seriously, he loves those books!  Who knows why, but he sure does!

LOL, I love the pic of him reading the book. It’s so funny how they become attached to unusual items.

That snot sucker is just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen that’s related to snot. Where did you get that??

What is it with a snot sucker? Baybah loves to play with his too. Although his is not so darn cute!

I know! We actually never used the traditional snot sucker after the first month or so. We used the swedish one and I am blanking on the name right now – it works SO much better.

Aud just has the usual non-toys: purse, comb, wallet, “credit cards,” and keys. She loves to pack up and tell me we are heading to the store.

Hey! Sometimes that is really important. No one wants to play with a used snot sucker – Well at least no one’s mom wants them to play with a used snot sucker! Thanks for linking up! Have a great weekend!

Isnt it funny the things they pick up and decided to love. Mine usually loves anything of his big brothers and will just treasure it if he can sneak something away. LOL.

    Hello!! I’m a new follower.
Your son is too cute!! My son likes to play with my 3 lb hand weights too. I make sure to hide them now, so he won’t get them anymore. I’m afraid he’ll end up throwing it and breaking something. Lol.

Lala! Thanks for stopping by – I hadn’t thought of him breaking something by throwing them! Probably should sneak them out and hide them too! 🙂
