FREE Lego Mini Builds at the Lego Store – Las Vegas

Did you know you can get FREE Lego Sets at the Lego Mini Builds here at the Las Vegas Lego Store?

My son is absolutely OBSESSED with Lego sets, like most 6 year old boys are!  As you know, if your child likes Lego, they can get expensive.  So, when there is an opportunity to get free Lego’s, I jump on it.

We heard about the free Lego mini builds a few months ago from a Lego store employee and have been hooked ever since.  The first Tuesday and Wednesday of every month, Lego stores put on a free mini build.  At this event, your little one gets to build a mini model with a member of the Lego store staff.  The staff member sits with the kids and goes through the building process step by step, making it a breeze to put together and super fun.  The best part of the event, you get to take the model home for FREE!

Every month there is a different model.  This month (October) the mini model is a spooky looking Anglerfish.

Space for this build is very limited.  To register your child you need to go to http://shop.lego.com/en-US/minibuild-registration.  It is open for children ages 6-14 with a limit of four children per household.  The registration window opens on the 15th of the month for the following month’s mini build.  The registration begins at 9am EST and fills up VERY fast.  Once you choose your date (Tuesday or Wednesday) and your time slot you will receive a confirmation e-mail.  All you have to do then is show up and let your little one build.

Unfortunately if you miss the sign up window, the model is not available to purchase.  However, there is a second chance to get the model.  You can attend one of the monthly Lego club meetings.  At these meetings your child will be able to build the monthly mini model and meet other Lego fans.  There is a $10 charge for the club meeting and you need to sign up in advance.  If you want to learn more about the club meetings you can go to lego.com/club.

I love the Lego store! We have one in Orlando too. Even with teens, every time we go to Downtown Disney, we play. I wonder if they do the mini build here too?

What a cute model! This sounds like a fun way for kids to have fun with legos, and I know my son would love the fact that the models are exclusive.
