Margaritas, Maraschinos, and Skorts! (OH MY) {WW}

May 24, 2011 By Emily 13 Comments

Dear Squishy,
Mommy loves you very much, but after a very exhausting and trying week filled with no naps, and many a meltdowns, Mommy is taking a much needed break from Dear Squishy to post my own Wordless(filled) Wednesday.ย  No worries – you have also been making up for it is kisses and squishes. I love you little man.

(Dear Squishy will be back next week!)

After two major toddler meltdowns, sand in my eyes, sand in Squishy’s eyes, getting stung by a jellyfish, and a minor mommy anxiety attack… I was badly in need of one of these the other day.

Let me tell you, it was SO worth it!

Another thing I learned that day…

I have majorly underestimated the AWESOMENESS of a skort – yep, a skort!

I got one very similar to this in black and one in white...

You know – a skirt with shorts on the inside.ย  This is something that really comes in handy when you are chasing after a crazy toddler.

You can rock a cute skirt, but be ready for anything a toddler throws at you thanks to the hidden shorts inside.ย  Not to mention, they are extremely comfortable.

My final nugget of wisdom… DO NOT FEED TODDLERS MARASCHINO CHERRIES… they can cause extreme hyperactivity… Be warned!

    Oh what I wouldn’t give for a drink of that. Yummy! Stung by a jellyfish? OUCH!

    Skorts remind me of high school. We had a uniform and a skort was it. But, I don’t like my thighs to rub together so I bet I would love one now. LOL

      It wasn’t as awful as I thought it was – but the lifeguard said I didn’t get it too bad. Good thing!

    Good for you! That looks like the perfect kind of Mommy Break! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Skorts are fun, aren’t they? I love getting them for Princess Nagger too – much better than flashing her underwear when she’s out playing in a skirt! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    OMG, skorts! I just LOVE them. So versatile. I have a skort dress that I love and my skorts are my favorite thing to wear in the summer. They were both garage/rummage sale finds and together cost me 50c! I wish I could find them as nice in the store.
