Two Pink Lines {It’s not what you think} (#CleverTTC #spon)

November 11, 2011 By Emily 2 Comments

"First Response Fertility Test"It’s no secret that I would like to grow our family.  Hopefully God will bless us with more children, but I like to stack the odds in my favor.

Fingers crossed we will start trying to add to our family after this deployment is over.  If that does end up being the case, I want to make sure I do everything I can to help prepare my body for another pregnancy while in this pre-trying to conceive stage.

Steps I am taking include:

  • Eating a healthy diet
  • Exercising regularly
  • Taking a prenatal vitamin
  • Getting my annual check up with the OB/GYN

I do worry that getting pregnant this time won’t be as easy as it was with Squishy.  Squishy was a beautiful surprise.  We weren’t going to start trying for another six months, but God had other plans.  And I am glad he did.  I love my son with every inch of my being.

However, since we didn’t “try” for him, and I am now 30, I want to make sure I am doing everything in my power to make conception easy.

Recently I tried  the First Response Fertility Test.  I hoped it would give me peace of mind.  When taking this test, you are to do so on the 3rd day of your cycle, first thing in the morning.  Then just like a pregnancy test, you wait.

Only this time, it is better not to have a second line, and if you do have a second line, you want it to be faint.

How First Response Fertility Test Works:

The FIRST RESPONSE Fertility Test for Women tests a woman’s FSH level to assess ovarian reserve (egg quantity and quality). This one of the leading single indicators of a woman’s ability to get pregnant.

Here is my test.
(Sorry for the quality of the picture.  I don’t think these test ever photograph well…)

My second line is fainter than the test line.

I was hoping for no second line.  But I got a lighter second line.  While the test says this is well within normal range, if we did have trouble trying to conceive I would bring this up with my Doctor and she could test my fsh levels.

For now, while we are still in the pre-TTC stage, I will just continue to follow a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and take my prenatals!

Wish you all the best Emily. Many infertility tests for women are available in the market. First response is one of the best products.
