Memories to hang on your tree! | Photo Making Jewelry Review

December 18, 2011 By Emily 4 Comments

"Christmas Ornaments" "Photo Jewelry" "Make your own photo Jewelry"If you are anything like me you have a million and two pictures.  I like taking pictures, but even more so I love the memory a picture captures.

It is a rare occasion that I don’t have my camera on me.  Yet, my “I don’t take pictures” husband not only married me, he lets me take his picture.

When I heard that I could transform my favorite pictures in to mini ornaments for the tree from Photo Making Jewelry, I was instantly intrigued.  When I heard it was not only affordable, but something I could do in my own home, I was ready to check it out!

And check it out I did!!

I was sent the 6 piece square photo Christmas ornament kit to check out.

Use your own favorite photos to make 6 photo double sided dangling Christmas Ornaments with this complete kit! Includes 6 silver plated double sided square photo frames, 6 Christmas swirled ornament hangers, EZ Resizer Software cd w/textmaker to resize your photos. Everything you need to complete your ornaments. Use with standard printer paper.

The ornaments are double sided and sized at 19 mm with a pretty simple swirl ornament hook to hang on your tree. Although some people might think they are too small, I like the size.  It will add photo memories to my tree without taking over the other important ornaments.

The EZ resizer software was a breeze to install and use.  I did run into an issue where it wouldn’t re-size one of my pictures despite several tries.  It was odd, because it did the previous 5 with no issue.  I ended up picking another photo and it sized it down with now problems.

Here are the 6 pictures I chose (2 pictures from each Christmas my son has celebrated!)

This is how my Photo Christmas Ornaments turned out! (They are much clearer in person.  I tried and tried to get a better picture, but I couldn’t get one.)

Overall I am VERY happy with them. Especially given the price! ($24.99 for 6, but they are on sale for $14.99 right now!).  I will however have to find some way to tack down the photos in the ornaments to keep them from moving.  Also when you are printing your photos don’t forget to print two!  Otherwise you will end up with one paper side and one photo side.

You can buy your own ornaments on Photo Making Jewelry and cover your Christmas trees with memories.  I plan on buying a couple more kits so that I can keep adding to our tree as we grow.
