When I was pregnant with my first child I stopped working out because I was afraid I was going to harm my baby. What I later learned after struggling with severe sciatic pain and SPD was that working out could have actually helped me feel better during my pregnancy.
This time when I learned I was pregnant I knew I wanted to stay very active during my pregnancy. While the first trimester kicked my butt in the areas of exhaustion and nausea, I still managed to get a few workouts in here and there. The moment I entered my second trimester it was like a switch was flipped, and my energy returned. I am now enjoying workouts regularly again and feeling great!
Mondays and Fridays are currently my Knocked up Fitness days. I am enjoying these Pilates and yoga based workouts and finding muscles I wasn’t aware I had. Erika’s DVDs are very easy to follow, and there are so many different workouts on them you can easily do these workouts almost every day. Erika even includes a sample workout schedule inside.
Erika is the mother of three children and her passion to keep moms in shape before, during, and after pregnancy is contagious. She leads you through the workouts in a way that is fun and geared to keep muscles toned in ways that is safe for all stages of pregnancy.
In addition to the two multi-workout disks, Erica’s website is full of tips, discussions, and additional exercises for moms. I am happily workout these DVDs into my workout schedule. I know as other exercises get harder toward the end of my pregnancy I will be able to continue using Erika’s workouts. My personal favorites right now is to do the Pilates Yoga workout on Mondays, and then combine the Core Warm-Up, Pilates Arms, and Pilates Legs on Fridays.
I am pretty positive that I will be able to use these workouts through the remainder of my pregnancy as well as postpartum!
**To be on the safe side you should always consult a doctor before starting any workout regimen especially when you are pregnant.**

I did a lot of swimming when I was pregnant. This looks like another great option!
I am done with babies myself but I wish I knew about this when I was. I suffered the same pain almost the entire first trimester! This would have really helped I bet!
LOL, that’s sounds like a great exercise plan.
Whirlwind of Surprises
I did a lot of walking when I was pregnant but I think I would have enjoyed these!
I sure wish I would have worked out during my pregnancies! It would have made my delivery and post partum struggle much easier. Good for you (& I can’t believe you’re in the second trimester already!!)
I wish I would have had something like this during my three pregnancies.
Wow! That is such a great idea . I wish I had had something like this during my pregnancies. Also, that name is hilarious. I could see giving as gifts just because it is so funny and clever!
What a great video series, I worked out when I was pregnant and had great labors!
I was working out when I got pregnant, and then the morning sickness put a stop to that and I got out of the routine. With a pregnancy targeted series, I might have kept on with it.
