Last year thanks to a generous friend, my husband and I took our then 2.5 year old son to the Monster Jam World Finals. Neither my husband or I had ever seen our son sit so still for so long. By the end of the night we were all fans! Lucky for us, the Monster Jam World Finals are always held in Las Vegas. So we bought tickets again this year. We also made it out to the free event before the finals at Sam Boyd Stadium. Our son was in little boy heaven surrounded by trucks larger than life, and drivers who were beyond gracious and generous to all of their fans.
It was unexpectedly cold, so we pulled out of jackets and I wrapped up Baby D in my Je Porte Mon Bebe hybrid wrap, and we spent 4 hours checking out the Monster Trucks!
There were the Marvel Superheros!
Captain America!
Iron Man!
And Spiderman!
My son made sure he got to see his favorite trucks!
Grinder!
The Extinguisher!
Maximum Destruction!
Of course he HAD to check out the Dogs!
At one point I got pretty concerned that my boy and his bestie had turned into Zombies!
Turns out they were fine, and we ended our day with at the camp of THE GRAVEDIGGER!
Gotta love the original Grave Digger!
I wasn’t able to go to the actually World Finals with my boys, but someone had to stay with Baby D. My husband and son had a great time watching Grave Digger – The Legend win the racing, and Maxiumum Destruction win the Freestyle. Next year we will for sure be taking Baby D. I have to say, I wish my son was older to understand social media a bit, because after I shared a few pictures on my Instagram account, Todd LeDuc (Driver of Monster Trucks) liked all of them. I know if my son was older that would have impressed him!
If you ever have the chance to check out a Monster Jam event – I highly recommend it! Make sure you have ear plugs and get ready for a great evening! We already can’t wait until next year!
