When I first got pregnant with our son, I didn’t have any idea of what I wanted in a stroller. We ended up buying a travel system and I have to say that was one of the biggest wastes of money to date that I have spent on my baby. Thankfully my husband agreed and together we spent a lot of time researching strollers so that we could find the perfect stroller for our family. This was a big purchase. That stroller became the central hub for day trips away from home and vacations at Disneyland.
If you love your stroller like we do I have two accessories from BuggyGear that you are going to want as soon as you see them! These two accessories are so simple and smart I have actually caught myself saying “why didn’t I think of that” while reviewing them!
First up the BuggyGuard!
The BuggyGuard is a small stroller lock that actually hooks right on to your stroller so that you have it when you need it. After spending quite a bit on a stroller I found myself always looking over my shoulder while I was at the park hoping it would still be there. Even more so when my friend had her Bugaboo stroller stolen while she and her daughter were playing 15 feet away! I cried for her the night she told me it was stolen. When we take family trips to Disneyland every time I parked the stroller to go on a ride I found myself wondering if this was the last time I was going to see my stroller. It would be so easy for anyone to come up and grab it while we were waiting in line.
The BuggyGaurd is a retractable cable lock that you can either lock your stroller around 1 wheel and to a poll. If there isn’t something to lock it to, or if you are at Disneyland and you can’t lock it to something else, you can lock two wheels together. While the second way may not guarantee your stroller isn’t going to be stolen it will be a lot less likely as it would take more effort than just rolling off with it. Chances are they are going to pick a different stroller to steal. Plus it allows the Disney team members the ability to still move your stroller if they need to.
It really does add a piece of mind to taking the stroller places. You can also lock your bags to your stroller making them hard to take as well! There are other products that came on the market after the BuggyGuard, but not one has a cable as long as the BuggyGuard. I picked the Deco Orange and Gold Dots for my stroller. It is so sleek looking most people don’t notice it’s there, but when it always sparks up conversation! The BuggyGuard retails for $25 which is a lot more affordable than buying a new stroller!
This next product has become my favorite summer time accessory!
Check out the BuggyButler!
The BuggyButler is everything I have ever wanted in a stroller organizer combined with a portable cooler! The BuggyButler features thick durable canvas accented by leather attachments. It attaches with two leather straps as well as two bungee cords on the side to stabilize the organizer. It also comes with a strap you can attach to the pack and carrying it like a purse if needed. The back features two adjustable cup holders and a space for your cell phone. Inside the bungee there is an outside pocket perfect for dry snacks. The inside is a cooler lined super large pocket with a mesh enclosure to slip any sized ice pack in.
With the hot Vegas summers I can’t imagine leaving the house without this now. I can easily keep milk or yogurt cool without having to put another thing inside my diaper bag. Plus it is really roomy inside so I like to keep extra waters cool as well! Retailing for $32 the BuggyButler is priced similarly to other stroller organizers with the added bonus of the portable cooler! Plus the BuggyButler in navy canvas matches my Britax B-Ready Stroller nearly perfectly!
With BuggyGear I feel like I have fully pimped my baby’s ride and don’t have to worry about my stroller “rolling” away while we were out and about!

Stroller theft is a HUGE problem in places like that. That buggyguard is brilliant!!!!! It would be an awesome shower gift, don’t you think?

I am going to invest in one of the Buggy Guards. Everytime we go somewhere and take our expensive stroller I’m really paranoid it will get stolen. I don’t want a $300-400 stroller that I love getting taken. Such an awesome unique product, thanks for sharing!
Emily says
Right! You drop a good chunk of change on this stroller and I would be in tears if it was taken!!
Jenn says
Yep…why didn’t we think of that. We lock up our bikes after all!
Emily says
Exactly – Why did we think of that!!

It amazed me to see all of the unattended baby strollers at Disney World. I would be so afraid that if I had done that that my stroller would have been stollen. I am glad that someone has made locks for them.

I had a friend of a friend who had a double stroller stolen there. I can’t imagine!

That is such a clever idea. I would have so wanted one of these way back when.

I really like the idea of the buggyguard. I’m always so paranoid when we go to the zoo that something is going to happen to our stroller. Twenty five dollars is well worth my peace of mind.

It really is a smart idea! I love that it just attaches to my side bar so I have it when I need it too!

I would have loved this when my son was younger and used a stroller.

That lock is awesome. What a great thing – good strollers are very expensive and I can see why one would want to lock it up like you would a bike.

That stroller lock is brilliant!
