I don’t know about you, but as summer starts to wind down at it’s really hot outside I am always looking for new and fun ideas on how to keep my sweet little monsters busy spend our days. At this point in the summer we’ve usually done our traveling, and knocked off several bucket list items like water parks and must see museums.
Any parent will tell you a bored child is not a good thing, so I asked around and put together a list of fun summertime crafts for kids that not only makes a nice keepsake for you, but the kids have fun doing it, and usually they get to make a big mess (win for them)! This list has tons of different ideas to try throughout the summer with your kids, and they’ll be sure to have a blast!

We’ve been drawing with sidewalk chalk a lot this summer. These are all great ideas! I hate for my son to be bored. It doesn’t go well for the whole family.

Keeping busy in the summer can be HARD when your little monsters are looking for activity… sometimes it ends up being the bad kind unless you have activities planned! Great list!
These are great activities. I especially love the bird feeder. It’s a great way to have an afternoon of fun with the kids and years of fun watching the birds that come to eat.

Thanks for sharing all these ideas. The end of summer is always the hardest to keep kids from getting bored because all the vacations are over and there’s not much left to do.

What a great list! For the past two years, we have saved our vacation for the end of summer and it’s helped the time to pass.
This is a wonderful list of crafts for kids to do! There is still pretty plenty of for families to do these fun crafts!

ha! I just clicked over to the free printables paper dolls. How cool is that? I haven’t seen a paper doll in a long time, but I used to love them so.
Those superhero masks look really fun! My favorite activity when I was a kid was the sprinklers or playing with shaving cream!
