As promised – here are the 7 month-day pictures! I can’t believe he is already 7 months… anyone getting tired of me saying how fast this is all going yet???
Here are some of the things Kellan is doing at 7 months:
He loves his toys, picks almost everything up, and passes them hand to hand now. And then usually throws them, especially if he is off of the ground.
He is belly laughing on a daily basis now. Full big laughs, that melt my heart every single time. I am bound to spend the rest of my life doing things to make this boy smile! No matter how silly I look doing it, or how hard I have to work, I will do it, day in and day out. Hands down, no questions! I love the music his laughter makes. I am hopelessly addicted.
Along with laughing, Kellan has also learned to throw a little fit. If I take a toy away – or my phone back, he throws his head back and screams, then opens one eye and looks at me, and does it again… silly squish I am on to you! 🙂
Kellan is mostly content with sitting still, although just the other day I put him down on his belly, and he promptly pushed up to his hand and knees/toes, and began to scoot backwards. I don’t think this non-mobile thing is going to last much longer, baby proofing here I come!
Every day, I see his curiosity toward the world, and his little personality develop even more. It is so amazing to watch him see/do something for the first time. Oh to be that innocent again.
Speaking of personality, I think I gave birth to Mr. Personality! My little baby is a TOTAL flirt. A HUGE ham. A COMPLETE ladies man! I am not kidding, everywhere I go with him I look up from what I am doing, and have some lady grinning like a fool at me – and then I realize it’s not me, it’s Kellan! I am thinking I am in big trouble! Watch out world, Kellan has smiles, and knows how to use them. Don’t even get me started on his eyebrow usage – he can hold entire conversations using just his eyebrows!
Kellan continues to love music, and sings to me on a daily basis. Rock-a-Bye lullabies continue to be a favorite in this house, but he has also shown liking for jazz and classical.
Kellan is officially (as of today) in his big boy car seat. Although we did use one while we were in Florida too. I’m thinking I made the right choice on which one to get, bc with-in minutes of sitting in it for the first time, he was sound asleep.
Seven months also brought the beginning of solid food. Kellan started shaky with Avocados, but today ate them with Gusto! I am excited to introduce all these new flavors into his life.
So, here we are officially closer to one year old then a new baby. I wish I could slow time down, but I have to tell you – being a part of his life everyday is the best blessing. I love watching him grow and learn. Every day brings something new, keep pitching people – I still feel like my life is a dream!
