Sponsor Spotlight for Blogmania ~ Bethie Boos Tutus

August 10, 2010 By Emily 6 Comments

BlogMania is right around the corner, and I am getting really excited about it! I have partnered with some wonderful and generous sponsors that are all offering fabulous giveaways! On the days of the Event there will only be one main giveaway. From that giveaway I will be selecting *SEVERAL* winners. On the actual day of the event, in order to win, you will have to come by and enter the contest, at which time I would like you to specify which prize package you would prefer if you win. (I however, can not guarantee that you will win that particular prize.)

Our First Spotlight is on Bethie Boos Tutus! I love Beth! She has the most adorable little girl who was her main inspiration for starting her business. (Her daughter also happens to share a birthday with my Squishy!) Beth’s business started out not long ago, and has boomed! Her Facebook page already has over 1400 followers! And who can blame them? Her stuff is simply adorable.

I had the opportunity to ask Beth a few questions about her and her business, and this is what she had to say:

When and Why did you start Bethie Boo’s Tutus? I started Bethie Boo’s Tutus in February of 2010. I was starting to look at planning my daughter’s 1st birthday party and just knew she had to have a tutu! As every mom knows, birthday parties can be pretty pricey so I had to do something to cut costs! I thought “Hey Beth, make the tutu yourself!” I went back and forth with the idea for awhile and continued to look on Etsy at what others had to offer and nothing screamed “PICK ME PICK ME!โ€ I finally sucked it up and just made her a tutu and guess what, I LOVED IT!! I have purchased many tutus from sellers and mine just had something different. All the ones I purchased were thin, didn’t poof out, and just wasn’t “me”. I knew right then at that moment that I wanted to make them for others as well!

What is your favorite part of being a WAHM? I have to say my favorite part is the friendships I have made with my customers all while being able to stay home with my Princess! I have met tons of great ladies who have become regular customers of mine. Funny how things happen!

Do you have a favorite item that you make? Favorite item?! Hmm. I have to admit that it’s not the tutus! AHH!! I really just admitted that for the whole world to see! Ok really, I hate doing tutus. Cutting tulle is a huge pain but the finished project is so lovely that I deal with! I’m not sure what my favorite item is though, it varies. I think at the moment I am still obsessed with the Korkers.

Tell me about some of the charity events you have done? So far Bethie Boo’s Tutus has been apart of 1 charity and 1 in the making. I am currently working with a wonderful woman named Kelley who is the owner of Baby Jack Blankets. She is gathering items for a silent auction for a family that is trying to get a van to transport their daughter. Find out more information on Gracie’s Ride here.

What do you love about being a mother? I don’t know that I can narrow this down to 1 thing. I love EVERYTHING about being a mom! There is no greater feeling than waking up and having your little one squeal with excitement because their Mommy walked in the room! The little slobbery kisses that Savannah plants on my face, legs, and nose just completely melt my heart! I can’t imagine loving anything or anyone more than I love that little girl that calls me “Ma-ma” and sometimes calls me “girl!” She is definitely my reason and inspiration for everything!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 5 years, yikes! I don’t know that I want to think about that! Hah! Let’s just say that if things go as planned, Iโ€™d love to have my own boutique in 5 years. That would be the icing on my cake! Oh & maybe starting to plan out baby #2?! Yes… No?! Don’t tell my boyfriend that I said that!

I am thrilled to be partnering with Bethie Boos Tutus for this BlogMania event. Beth is generously offering 10 gift cards to 10 winners!
Make sure you stop by her Bethie Boos Tutus page say Hi and become a fan!

I have just spent time exploring your blog, and realized a few things. After looking at these adorable tutus, I REALLY want to have a girl. I love your blog design, and wish I was on a plane for a fun week in Vegas NOW! Your son is adorable, and I was just reading about your recent run-in with a stomach virus. We had a similar week last week, and I feel your pain!!!
