Every once in a while I get really excited about a post.
Spoiler Alert: This is one of those posts!
I am participating in the Hostelbooker’s 7 Super Shots game. This game is all about sharing seven favorite travel photos based on some pre-determined categories. I was a bit limited on my picture selection as I don’t have my hard drive from most of my traveling days.
Thank you Sarah who is the writer behind Wandering Off a fantastic travel blog and also lives here in Las Vegas.
A photo that…takes my breath away
It may be cheesy, but my son takes my breath away all the time. To see the joy of child discovering something for the first time is just amazing. This photo was taken at Peggy Sue’s Dinner and Dinosaur Park in Barstow California.
A photo that…makes me think
Look closely, what do you see? Taken in the brush of the Mayan ruins in Belize, this shot reminds me to take a closer look, you never know what you might find!
A photo that…makes me dream
Have you ever been to The Ringling Museum in Sarasota Florida? It is really something to see. More than just the circus the grounds are filled with amazing rose gardens, Banyan trees, and a lot of fine art. I spent almost 30 minutes at this window/door. There was just something magical about it.
A photo that…makes me laugh or smile
I took this photo on Sanibel Island, Florida. My son was 7 months old at the time, and apparently the crabs on his shirt and hat had a big impact on his mood. I can’t help but smile every time I see this shot
A photo that…makes my mouth water
Speaking of crabs… Yep, we caught our own dinner, and it was darn tasty I may add! Taken in Hopkins, Belize.
A photo that…tells a story
To be fair, I wasn’t traveling for this picture. But I love playing with my camera and got this action shot at Cashman Field here in Las Vegas for Cubs weekend. Go Cubbies!
A photo that…I am most proud of (aka my worthy of National Geographic shot)
I stalked this butterfly for a long time. He was amazing. Taken at Lake Nakomis Minnesota.

Girl, you are well traveled! DANG! How can I compete with that? This could take me weeks to find photos and scan them all in. If I ever get it done, I’m going to need a drink which you’re SO buying when next we see each other!
