My toddler is a backseat driver

October 18, 2011 By Emily 19 Comments

Dear Squishy,

Who taught you how to be a backseat driver?

"Backseat Driver" "Toddler Attitude"

FYI, if the light is red I cannot “GO GO GO MAMA… GO FAST!!”

"Backseat Driver" "Toddler Attitude" "Peeking Under" "Safety 1st Car Seat"

Don’t look at me like that, I make the rules here!

You crack me up with your sassy little backseat driving commands.

I am crazy thankful that you don’t drive for another 12.5 years!

Xoxxo,
Mama

HA! My son is the same way!! On Tuesday morning we were stopped at a red light, from the backseat I hear “Go Mommy! Our light green.” and a toot of his train whistle. (He had A talking Spencer from Thomas & friends with us!)

It was hysterical, but adds so much pressure while I’m driving!!

So funny! Wait until he gets a rudimentary grasp of road rules and starts criticizing you for not coming to a full stop or turning left in green (no arrow).

Great… that will be fun. Maybe that was the other reason they say you should keep kids out of the front seat until they are a certain age. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have started turning up the music real loud when Bunny starts in on me for stopping at red lights, lol. The worst is when we’re in traffic on the highway and she keeps yelling at me “Highways are for fast cars, mommy. GO FAST!” Toddler road rage!

ha ha I love that they think they are helping us.”mama, that lady is texting”, “Mommy, did you see that BIG pothole?!”, “Mommy, why is that man honking at us?”

I must say that having two kids in the car makes me a MUCH better driver ๐Ÿ™‚
