We are very new to the world of online apps. I just got an iPad this month. Previous to that all I had was my smartphone which was an android. I didn’t find much in the was of apps for the android for toddlers. (Love to hear some suggestions) But I did have one that I loved!
Toddler Lock for Android
The perfect app to keep your child entertained. Child lock with colorful graphics and soothing sounds to keep your kids entertained without having to worry about them making calls or starting other apps. Teach your child shapes and colors. Optionally enables airplane mode while application is active, so as to not irradiate your little darling. Also lots of fun for adults! (Android Market)
The #1 preschool game in the app store. Learn and have fun by helping monkeys pack lunch! Monkey Preschool Lunchbox is a collection of six exciting educational games for your preschooler (ages 2 to 5). (itunes)

We loved the Toddler Lock when I had my android phone. I was sad to see it wasn’t on the iPhone. None of the iPhone apps actually lock the screen. He can still get to all the other functions.

My hubs also found a puzzle one on the android. We got the lite version and Squish seems to really enjoy it – I may actually pay for the full version.

Hi,
I’ve installed Preschool Monkey Lunchbox on my iPad after i read your recommendation and it is fabulous! My 3 year old just found a “new monkey friend”. this app practically does not have an “end”. How did they do that?
I also tried to install Thomas, but it didn’t grab his attention. Well, maybe he is not into trains 🙂
Thanks!
