I like to shop! A lot! Just ask my husband. I’ve spent countless hours looking for clothes that are fun, trendy, and affordable for me. When I first walked into DownEast Basics nearly 3 years ago in Henderson, NV I knew it was love at first glance.
The clothes are sassy, chic, simple, and most importantly affordable. They speak to a women’s sense of style and with so many different options it is easy to mix and match all their styles. They have flirtatious skirts, and the most fun tops!
I am so excited that they just opened up a new location in Boca Park that is much closer to my house, although even with the super affordable prices my hubs’s wallet may not be happy to hear this!
About DownEast Basics
Since the inception of the line, our top priorities have been to provide stylish, high-quality clothing at very affordable prices – a mission we remain true to today. At DownEast Basics, we believe in being stylish and trendy without showing too much skin. In fact, when we started the line in 2005, the layering trend had just taken off – partially as a backlash to the low-rise jeans and mid-riff tops that many designers were pushing. We believed then (as we do now) that women know what looks best on their bodies, and they know what they want in terms of style. This is why we’ve always listened to our customers, incorporating their feedback and suggestions into our lines. – via Jonathon Freeman Founder of DownEast Basics
I love that I can wear their clothes and know that I am not going to have any wardrobe malfunctions playing at the park with my son due to lack of coverage, but also knowing that I haven’t sacrificed my style at all with this line.
There are so many things I’d love to add to my wardrobe from the DownEast Basics collection.
I love this Chevron Intersection Dress! It is so on trend. Paired with some cute sandals you could wear this anywhere! I think it would be perfect for fall too with a belt and some great boots!
Or this Sweet Thing Cardi pared with this cute Prim and Proper Tank would be a great go to outfit with jeans for me.
Speaking of jeans, DownEast Basics also has a great selection of fashionable denim!
I decided that with my growing belly, this Rare Find Top was just perfect for me! It’s ruffle sleeves are flirty and the lace detailing is feminine! I love that I can wear this top as a maternity top now and as a fun tunic after baby! The back detailing is my favorite part of this shirt!
Did you know that DownEast offers two stores in Nevada – a DownEast Basics store at The District at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, and a DownEast Clothing store (offers DownEast brands plus national retail brands at major discounts for both men and women’s clothing) at the Boca Fashion Village in Las Vegas.
DownEast basics is offering one lucky Our Knight Life reader the opportunity to win any item of their choosing! This could be a swim suit (both pieces), denim, or a top of your choice! A very generous giveaway for my readers!

I just stumbled upon this page, and I have to say that this is so refreshing and helpful! As a college student, it s always hard to find affordable modest clothing for casual wear. I m also not a big fan of most of the trendy clothing for 20+ year-olds. So thank you so much Jami for posting this!
