itti bitti tutto Cloth Diaper Review #ClothDiapers

September 13, 2012 By Emily 18 Comments

I used to get super excited about shopping for new shoes or a new pair of jeans.  Flash forward a few years and the shopping that has been making me really happy lately is cloth diaper shopping!  Who knew building a cloth diaper stash could be this much fun.  Let me tell you, there are about as many brands of cloth diapers out there as brands of jeans!

Last year I was given the opportunity to review the itti bitti minkee blanket for my son.

I knew after receiving it the quality of itti bitti was top par!  So when it came to choosing diapers for baby MT one of the first companies I thought of was itti bitti.  I have heard nothing but great things about their itti bitti tutto one size fits most diaper!

itti bitti spent over a year developing the the tutto one sized diaper that will grow with your baby from birth to potty training (8lbs – 44lbs) without all the bulk of some other cloth diapers.

And let me tell you I put that weight limit to the test.  While baby Monster Truck isn’t here yet to check out the lower limits of this diaper, my son (who is potty trained, so we just tried it for fit not for diapering) is 40 lbs and I didn’t think it would fit him.  I was wrong!

"itti bitti review" "itti bitti cloth diapers" "Cloth diaper review" "itti bitti tutto" "One Sized Cloth Diaper" "itti bitti tutto for toddler"

It fit him just fine.  He actually wanted to wear it as his underwear, but I didn’t want to risk an accident when he couldn’t get the snaps undone in order to go potty.  Once we took it off Squishy asked if we could take the baby out of my tummy now so he could wear it.  I love the mind of toddlers.  I have no doubt that before I know it, my new son will be wearing this adorable trim fitting diaper.

The itti bitti tutto comes with 3 soakers for you to use as you see fit. They customize absorption perfectly for boys and girls (as boys and girls wet diapers differently) allowing you to make sure you have the added liners where you need it the most.  I think the long soaker will be our friend seeing as boys tend to wet more in the front.  I like that you can even use all three if you want added nighttime protection!

The snaps may seem a bit intimidating at first, but really they couldn’t be more simple to use! Color coding makes them virtually fool proof! (Or sleep deprived proof!)"itti bitti review" "itti bitti cloth diapers" "Cloth diaper review" "itti bitti tutto" "One Sized Cloth Diaper"

All you have to do is line up the colored snaps on the diaper with the same colored snaps on the soakers.  The only exception to this is the long soaker, where you lining up the blue snaps with the center blue snap on the soaker.  There are 4 sizing options here to allow you to have the soaker grow with your baby.  If this is still confusing to you, you can check out this great video by itti bitti to clear up any questions you may have.

Another really great feature on the itti bitti tutto is their patented poo fence.  They are very proud of this feature as they should be! I haven’t ever met a person yet who think blow outs are fun!

But we didn’t just design the best fitting one size diaper, we have solved the most common issue – the dreaded ‘pooplosion’.

"itti bitti review" "itti bitti cloth diapers" "Cloth diaper review" "itti bitti tutto" "One Sized Cloth Diaper"

As you can see from itti bitti’s picture the poo fence actually extends around the diaper and not just on the legs!

You may also notice the hidden hip snaps!  These are great for helping get the best fit on your baby and prevent dreaded wing droop!

In the picture above I added all 3 soaker pads and set it to the smallest settings.  You can really see how trim this diaper actually is.  The minkee comes in 18 different colors and seasonal patterns, and it completely waterproof so you have no need for a cover.  It may have take a year to develop the itti bitti tutto cloth diaper, but I can see this being a family favorite for many years to come!

I’ll be sure to keep you updated on how this diaper works for my family.

We have a couple itti bitti tuttos and like them! I think it fits Squishy very well which is good to know for those not potty trained yet!

I have always been infatuated by this brand… but I still can’t really tell the difference between their 3 diaper types.

This is a fantastic review! We are really wanting to attempt to cloth diaper the twins and I like the thought of putting an investment into diapers that grow with them!

I’ve always been interested in, but a little intimidated by the itti bitti. Perhaps it’s time I try one out.

LOL — ahhhh, the toddler mind. So cute!

Love the “poo fence.” That is soooo needed in those early weeks of a new born’s life!

OMGoodness – Rachel took the words right out of my mouth.
I so with that these had been around when my kids were young. I cannot even stand to think of all the money that we spend diapering 9 kids. Probably would have paid for a car!

Honestly, I can say I’m SO happy to be out of the diaper phase! But, I really giggled at ‘the poo fence’!
Now, we’re into all things super hero… and I love some good jammies!

Those are really cute and it looks like they thought of everything. Love that they are trim too added bulk in a diaper is sometimes a problem.
