Can you believe we are already half way through October? That’s right! In just two months we will be celebrating the holiday season! With so much to do before our baby comes, I thought I would try to get a head of the game and start thinking about what needs to be accomplished by Christmas time. One of the things I love doing every year is picking out our Christmas Cards!
This year Tiny Prints has added even more fresh designs and fun features in their 2012 Holiday Collection. You won’t want to miss out on the new Premium DoubleThick Matte Paper. Talk about a luxury card stock option! In addition to all the brightly colored and festive cards of years past, they also feature religious/scripture based cards (including Hanukkah) and cards that you can showcase your fur babies photos on. No matter what kind of card you are hoping to send this year you will find it at Tiny Prints.
I will admit to spending hours online at Tiny Prints pouring over all of the options and narrowing it down to just a few. Then I find the perfect pictures and use them to fill the cards in preview mode. Once that is done I usually have it narrowed down to just two cards so I ask the hubs for his opinion.
This year we will be sending out Christmas Cards and a Birth Announcement! I thought about combining them, but really want Baby Monster truck to have his own moment in the sun. So two separate cards is what we will do! Since we are doing two cards, I am thinking of keeping our simple. I really love these three options.
This first one would be great because we could use it as a simple version of our annual Christmas letter for only the highlights of our year! I already know I would add Squishy’s preschool picture to in, maybe a picture from our Disneyland trip later this month, and a maternity shoot picture. I think those are some pretty awesome highlights for us!
Or I could keep it really simple with this snowy “Making Spirits Bright” card. I would of course opt for the option to add text to the back so I could add a letter from our family, and maybe a second picture!
I also love the colors on this card. It isn’t your typical holiday card, but at the same time just seems so sweet for the Christmas season. I think instead of using names, I would do something similar to the highlights card above and add “Preschool”, “Disney Trip”, and “New Baby”. Complete with a family picture at the top it seems like a great choice for our family.
I really enjoy the process of picking out and filling these cards with our family highlights. It’s a great way for me to connect each year with family I am not super close to, and friends who live far away.
Have you thought about what you are going to do for you Holiday Cards this year?
Tiny Prints has some great special offers this year on their Holiday selection! Don’t miss out!

I do think about holiday cards!!! Last year we were living in Arizona, so we took awesome family photos in the desert. This year we are back home in the Pacific NW, so it will be sweaters and traditional clothes in a traditional setting. I also have two sessions, one with Santa and the kids wear casual holiday clothing, and then the formal ‘Sunday Best’ photos.
