Fight Postpartum Bulge With The Mother Tucker Nursing Tank

February 12, 2013 By Emily 21 Comments

Having my sons has hands down been the best two days of my entire life.  The months that have followed with each of them is a blur of good memories and lots of hours spent nursing.  I’m currently nursing Baby D and while I had 16.5 months of breastfeeding experience under my belt, I forgot how frustrating it can be to fumble with clasps, snaps, and many layers.  Not to mention that at two months postpartum I am still dealing with baby bulge.  The last thing I want to be thinking about during my busy days chasing after an active toddler and nursing my newborn is if my muffin top is hanging out.

Enter The Mother Tucker Tank Top.  This tank is really top of the line when it comes to nursing tops.

My Review

Let me tell you how awesome the anti-roll technology is.  So awesome that it is my favorite feature of this nursing tank!  At the bottom of the tank top there is a 3 inch anti-roll band that prevents it from riding up.  Not ONE single time did I ever have this tank top roll on my, move, or expose my skin while I wore it.  Belly Bandit has added three zones of compression to help regain your pre-pregnancy shape by flattening and smoothing your tummy.  It even helps smooth back fat.  Belly Bandit says that if this top is worn consistently it may help postpartum stretch marks by containing loose skin, as well as perfect your posture.

My second favorite feature of this tank top is the slid over cups for easy nursing access.  This is especially important to me as a big breasted mama, I have to wear a bra in addition to a tank, so the last thing I need or want to be doing when baby is ready to eat is fighting to free the girls!

In addition to the slide over cups, the tank top also features a wire-free bra.  Having had mastitis (an awful infection in the breasts of nursing moms) with both of my babies I can tell you, you really want to do anything you can to avoid it, and going wire free has been shown to make a big difference in avoiding mastitis.

The tank features wide straps that won’t and don’t dig into your shoulders.

All these features have me reaching for this tank top nearly every day.  I  wish I had more in my nursing wardrobe.  This top has made me feel more confident and worry less about my postpartum shape while I am working to get my body back, and that confidence alone is worth the pricey tag on this tank.

The Mother Tucker Nursing Tank is available in black and comes in small, medium and large for cup sizes B-E.

This is awesome! I was looking for something like this. I struggle with the belly right now while breastfeeding. While it’s nice to have maternity shirts that double as nursing shirts… they do nothing for flattering your figure after you give birth!! I would love if shirts like this were made by more companys & available in more places. Sadly, this one is too expensive for me.

I need something like this but not for nursing moms, since obviously with my circumstances I can’t do that 😉

That’s a nice top considering it’s a nursing tank! Just goes to show that you can be stylish while buying special clothing!

I had this for my most recent post-pregnancy belly and loved it. I felt like it kept everything in place as I lost the excess weight and my skin went back to normal
