Baby D is now 4+ months old and he is really starting to enjoy small toys. Since everything he touches goes directly into his mouth I try to pick toys for him that are natural and organic or at least free of chemicals. When Dandelion Baby offered to send the Maya Kit Kat Rattle to test out, I immediately said yes because I knew Baby D would love it!
At this age Baby D is still learning his fine and gross motor skills, so playing with rattles and small toys is very important for his development. The Maya Kit Kat rattle is perfect to stimulate baby’s visual and auditory senses, but also this rattle forces him to manipulate the smaller rings, and work on his gross motor grasping skills. Plus, it is pretty darn cute! Baby D has a blast playing with this toy, and it is small enough for me to pack into our diaper bag or tuck into his car seat for play while we are out and about.
This progression cracks me up!
“What’s this mom? Oh, it shakes and makes noise! And I can eat it! NOMNOMNOM.”
The colors of this handcrafted toy are beautiful and completely natural and non-toxic. I also love that by purchasing this toy you are directly giving back to the people who made it.
