Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-Ray Combo Pack

December 23, 2013 By Emily 9 Comments

Disclosure: I received a media sample to facilitate this post. All opinions expressed are my own.

Make the holiday jolly with Mary Poppins 50th anniversary editions blu-ray combo pack.

"Mary Poppins" "Mary Poppins DVD" "Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary edition"

Retailing for 29.99 this is a gift the whole family will enjoy.  In fact our boys will be getting the Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary Edition DVD underneath the Christmas tree and I plan on putting it on for the whole family to enjoy watching Christmas day.

I loved this movie as a child. It’s full of whim and whimsy and loads of the magic Disney is famous for.

"Mary Poppins" "Mary Poppins DVD" "Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary edition"

The songs stick with you for days, or in my case a lifetime.  I’m excited to pass a movie that I loved as a child on to my children.

The 50th anniversary edition is loaded with bonus features too!

Bonus Features:

Mary-OKE’s
New piece highlights popular music from the film, specifically “Spoon Full of Sugar,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” Step In Time,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee” and allows viewer to sing-along to animated words that display onscreen in unique ways.

Becoming Mr. Sherman
A conversation between legendary composer Richard Sherman and actor Jason Schwartzman (who play Richard Sherman in Saving Mr. Banks) about writing the songs for Mary Poppins.

Deleted Song
Chimparoo

Quality to the Studio
Julie Andrews, Dick Van Dyke and Richard Sherman remember how kindly they were treated on this film and even break into song (and dance)!

It’s amazing to me that a movie released 50 years ago can still speak to today’s generation.

What is your favorite part of this classic movie?
