Start your Year with a Personalized Photo Calendar from Shutterfly

December 27, 2013 By Emily 13 Comments

I received a credit for calendars from Shutterfly in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and experiences are my own.

Like many moms I have SO many favorite pictures from the past year that I love that are doing nothing more than sitting on my hard drive.  Instead of letting those captured memories sit, I decided to start our year off right with a that brings a smile to my face every time I look at it.

Creating a calendar with Shutterfly was so simple!  It really was a simple matter of a few easy steps!  If I had known it was this easy to create one I would have started this tradition years ago!!

Once I picked the style of calendar I wanted and the design I wanted, all I had to do was pick the photos I wanted to use.  I love their storyboard option for the calendar.  Once I had my pictures uploaded I could drag and drop them into months, and then Shutterfly uploaded them to the calendar for me!

Once the photos were in the months you can go back and change the background designs if you like.  I had fun mixing and matching the different themes, but don’t think you have to do that.  Each theme has really great and creative backgrounds. It’s really all about options and Shutterfly gives you SO many!!

Speaking of options can I just tell you how much I love that you can also personalize the dates?  Simply add a birthday or event to the day you want and then drag in a picture and suddenly special days just got a little bit more special!  Because I have two boys I found days to fit my pictures.  For instance I added in National Superhero Day and National Brothers Day simply to add in some cute pictures and fun to my calendar.  Plus from now on Shutterfly will remember the birthdays I put in which makes making future calendars even easier!!

It probably took me two hours from start to finish to do my calendar, and than included me narrowing down my 1000s of pictures and playing with the backgrounds.  If you had all your pictures pre-picked and kept the backgrounds the same as the theme you pick you could be done in 20 minutes including ordering time!

I was excited to get the calendar because I love the idea of seeing the pictures I picked daily, but I was over the moon with the quality of this calendar.  Even my husband was talking about it.  We liked it so much we even ordered a few extra copies as gifts, and will be for 100% sure making this a New Year tradition in our home for as long as I have pictures to fill them up with!

I can’t think of a better way to start off the new year.

Your calendar turned out cute. My teenage daughter created a Shutterfly calendar for me for Christmas. I love the different layouts and was quite impressed with the sturdiness of the calendar. It’s not all floppy.
