Blast Zone Spray N Splash 2 Inflatable Water Park Review

May 30, 2014 By Emily 27 Comments

Blog-Important

We live in the desert and it get’s HOT here!  We are always looking for ways to beat the heat.  Splash pads, pools, even the waterpark can be fun, but with two littles it is also exhausting.

This summer I decided to simplify things for myself.  We got to review the Spray N Splash 2 inflatable water park from Blast Zone, and it transformed our backyard from boring to awesome!

The Spray N Splash 2  inflateable water park looks awesome but it had to pass some tests for me to really feel like it was user friendly.

Since my husband works during the day and is often deployed for his job, I needed to be able to set it up all by myself in a short amount of time and let’s be honest – without too much exertion!

Setting up the Spray N Splash 2:

So let me tell you – it passed the easy set up with flying colors.  The Spray N Splash 2 Inflatable Water Park comes with the blower, and it inflated in just 45 seconds.  It generally takes me about 6-8 minutes to unroll it, stake it, and hook up the hose.

Every time I go to set it up my almost 5 year old is practically bouncing out of his own skin with excitement.  So as a mother I appreciate the quick set up time, because I can only hear “Is is ready yet?” so many times!

Once it’s set up it’s easy to see that both my boys love it.  Our toddler is still too young to do the slide on his own, but he has a ton of fun just splashing in the large pool area.  Additionally the water never goes over 6″ which is a nice safety feature to have.

As far as the slide feature on the Spray N Splash 2 goes, I can tell you that both my son and a few of his friends thing it is just AWESOME! The inflatable is super sturdy so they feel very secure going up, and the bumpers are far enough away from the slide that they don’t have to worry about falling out when they go down. He also loves going through the sprayers when he slides down.

I love that they don’t have to step out on to the grass at all when they are playing in this.  It helps keep the water much cleaner for them.  Plus there is plenty of room to just sit and play if that is what they want to do!

Living in Las Vegas backyard space is at a premium.  This water feature was the perfect size for us because it wasn’t overwhelming in our small yard!  It measures in at 20.5L x 7.5W x 8H (Top of Arch) which is big enough to have 4 people playing in it, but like I said not super huge.

The only thing I had any issues with was getting it stuffed into the storage sac they provided.  The inflatable weighs 48 lbs when it’s not in use, and I just couldn’t seem to get it small enough.  For us it was an easy fix. We went to the home improvement store and picked up a large storage bin which I prefer to keep bugs out when it’s being stored in our garage.

Is it really worth the price?

Clearly my kids love it, but what do I really think? I’m beyond impressed. If I’d had known setting up an inflatable was as easy as Blast Zone makes it we would have purchased one a few years back.  We have rented bounce houses on a few occasions for parties and they are always dirty. I love owning my own and having it be super easy to set up. It does take some time to dry properly, but it’s really time waiting – not any extra effort on my part which as a busy mom I appreciate.  Plus the fact that my boys play so nicely and so long gives me a few hours of just watching, playing, and truly enjoying our summer. Such a nice alternative to having to pack up to go somewhere else to cool off.

There isn’t a single reason why I wouldn’t recommend the Spray N Splash 2 inflatable waterpark to anyone. It’s easy to use, easy to store, and hours of fun!

I want one of these so bad!! I like that it has it’s own compressor because we would have to take it down and re-blow it up everyday. My husband has a thing for living grass rather than a brown dead spot.

If that was available when I was a kid I’d do nothing else in the summer BUT play on that thing! That looks like it’s SO fun and a very cool experience in the heat of Summer.

This slide looks awesome! I live in a desert too with really dry hot summers. My kids would love keeping cool with this slide! The rock crawler also looks like a lot of fun and would get a lot of my kids energy out with the many choices of play

That is so much fun! Love the ball area too. Allowing it to completely dry off is key, the last one we had got pretty moldy cause it was still a little wet when we put it away. Ooops!!!

Let’s just say I am super sad that we don’t live in Vegas because if we did we would be your new best friends 😉 this thing looks awesome! My kiddos are the same age as yours and I think they would love it! We live in Sacramento and in the summer it can be in the 100s quite often (we have already had a few over 100 degrees days!) Easy set up is a huge selling get point as I am usually home by myself with the kids 🙂 super excited to have a chance to win one and it is definitely going on our wish list!
