This weekend I was asked to come be among the first people to watch Finding Dory at the AMC Town Square 18 in Dolby Cinema, and I have to tell you it was great!
One of the first things you see when you walk into the theater is a beautiful LCD screen with Dory and Nemo swimming. The picture is stunning, and you know you are in for a real treat!
Check out my video to the movie wall on my Instagram!
Going to the movies with kids means that you are almost always getting out of your seat once or twice for potty breaks. With the luxury seating and wide well lite hallways it’s a breeze to get out, and there is plenty of space so you don’t need to worry about tripping over or bothering anyone at the theater.
Once you sit in your seat you will realize why this is called the Dolby Cinema “Experience”. The recliner-style seats have buttons to adjust the back and feet to your liking. The seats are in pairs with an arm rest that moves up to make them love sofa style seats if you so choose. The recliner seats aren’t just great for adults, they are perfect for younger kids in longer movies. My son was able to move around without bothering me or anyone around us – which meant that we all enjoyed the movie.
My favorite part of watching Finding Dory in Dolby Cinema was the picture. It was so crisp, bright, and the resolution was stunning. Disney-Pixar did an amazing job with all the details of this movie and I really enjoyed watching it in such a beautiful picture.
My whole family enjoyed Finding Dory. In true Disney-Pixar style there was something for everyone in this movie. It was really cute and the animation was amazing. Just when you think they can’t get any better, Disney-Pixar steps up and it does get better! My husband and I were laughing at a few one liners and my 7 year old son loved seeing all the different sea creatures and watching them all help each other. (In my opinion – that is the perfect take away for a young kid!)
Finding Dory is in Dolby Cinema theaters now! Don’t miss your chance to see it today in Dolby Cinema at AMC! They will only be showing for the next week!

We have a theater about 15 miles away that has really comfy recliner chairs like that. I’ve never been to a Dolby cinema, we don’t have any in our area.
