Meet Vivian from Confessions of a Vi3tbabe {Guest Post}

May 24, 2011 By Emily 2 Comments

My Guest Poster today come from Confessions of a Vi3tBabe!  Vivian is a wife and mommy (2 beautiful daughters), and is currently going to med school!! (I am so in Awe – I can barely manage being a mommy of one some days!)  Her writings is honest, and she always has a sweet comment.  Make sure you head over to her blog and give her some COMMENT LOVE!
You can also find her on Facebook and Twitter!

1.Tell me about you and your family.
My name is Vi, or Vivian, and I’m 25 years old, Vietnamese, happily married to The Hubbi for 4 years and we have two beautiful daughters. I am currently in medical school hoping to either be a Pediatrician or an OB/GYN because I just can’t get enough of those babies! The Hubbi & I have been together for almost 8 years now and our story is a funny one, but one too long for this right now, haha. My first daughter is 6 years old, I call her BG1, and she’s such a girly-girl. Loves her PINK and all things PRINCESS, but she’s such a sweetheart and a Mama’s Girl. I love her to pieces. My second daughter and newest addition is BG2 who is almost 3 months. It’s been so long since I’ve had a baby it feels like new again and I’m loving every moment of it. I can’t tell you how long and how much I’ve wanted this and to finally have such a perfect little baby in my life makes me feel truly blessed. We’re all still growing as a family and individuals and with the exception of school (which is always a drag, haha) life is perfect!

2. When did you start blogging, and why?
I started blogging at the end of 2009 because I was so bored studying abroad at school and I needed an outlet to just write and express my feelings. I’ve always been a writer and my current blog, Confessions of a Vi3tBabe isn’t the first one I’ve done, it’s just the one I’ve stuck with the longest and one I hope will go somewhere someday. I started writing about my life in general, school and family, nothing too major. Then The Hubbi and I decided we wanted to start trying for Baby #2 and I wanted to chronicle my journey through that so I started writing about that. It was a long journey where I thought I was having infertility problems and a whole lot of drama, but in the end we got pregnant and I started a pregnancy diary and now that BG2 is born, I have a weekly photo diary chronicling her daily life. I love it!

3. What was your favorite toy as a child  . . .and now?
Hmm, I really can’t remember. I suppose I liked the usual, Barbie and Cabbage Patch dolls. I wasn’t much of a girly-girl growing up though. I was, however, an avid reader, having a vast collection of The Babysitter’s Club, haha. Yes, my verbal skills far surpass my math skills so I’ve always had a love for the books. Now, I would have to say my favorite “toy” is my iPod Touch. I love downloading games and can easily get addicted to the latest craze. I’m also a diehard fan of anything Super Mario!

4. What is your favorite non-living item in your home.  Why?
That would be my laptop/computer. If I’m not taking care of my family or studying, I’m online. I’m so addicted to Twitter & Facebook it’s not even funny. Plus, I have to blog and I love online shopping so there’s always something for me to do online. I also love to make movies via iMovie, video-editing is a secret passion of mine.

5. You have to buy something just for you – something you would never buy unless this opportunity came up – what is it?
Oh, hands down, I’d definitely buy me a pair of Louboutin’s! I am so in love with the Red Sole it’s an addiction. I swear one of these days I’ll get a pair to call my own, but alas, since they’re so expensive, that may just be awhile.

6. Do you have any fears?
Oh yes. My greatest fears relate to my family. I’m such a worry-wart for their healthy and safety. Making sure everyone returns home at the end of the day in one piece and that everyone is happy. I worry all the time that something scary or life-threatening might happen to any one of them and wish I could put them all in a bubble to protect them for life, but c’est la vie, you just gotta live a day at a time and cherish all the moments you have with the ones you love. I can’t even begin to tell you all the worries and fears I have for BG2, who has barely begun to live. I fret over every little detail, always making sure she’s breathing, well-rested, eating, pooping, & peeing enough. Any little thing out of the ordinary & I’m in hysterics and I think that’s due in part to the fact that, as a medical student, you learn all the things that can go grow with the human body and you realize what a miracle it is to even make and grow a “regular” human being, and feel blessed and grateful when everything works out.

7. Do you call it soda, pop, or coke?
Haha, so random! I call it soda. ^_^

8. If you were a color what color would you be?
I guess I would be the color Pink. After having my first daughter, I sorta fell in love with the color and now it’s her favorite color too. Even though it’s a girly color, I think it’s also so pretty. I like all the shades of pink actually and find that it brightens up a room or person, a quality I hope I give off as well.
