Gah, I have just really been stuck in a funk lately, and not in a funky good kinda way. I guess it could be the “summertime blues??” But boy, am I ready to SNAP OUT OF IT.
(PS – If you want to skip the woe is me, I need to vent rambling, scroll to the bottom for my “wordless Wednesday” pictures.)
I feel like I have all these ideas for my blog, and yet have a hard time implementing them. Every time I start to write a post I find myself stopping because I feel like no one wants to read what I have to write. (Silly, I know!)
What is even more silly about that, is it was never about who read my blog. Writing has always been a creative and expressive outlet for me. I feel like I need to get back to more of that. I am hoping EVO11 will help me re-focus my blog goals and hopes.
On the home front, I am getting tired of missing my hubs all the time, and am really ready to have him home again. It has been wonderful having Kim here, and this deployment she has been more than amazing, allowing me to head out to a Yoga class, or bingo night, or a night out with friends. More freedom I have had during deployments since Squishy was born. But I miss my Hubs something fierce. I feel a bit disconnected from “us”, and am really looking forward to him returning home, and maybe getting some couple time asap!
Thankfully, I have been turning to working on getting fit, and working workouts into my schedule as me time, and honestly I feel like that is the only thing keeping me sane lately. Although, in the same right, they are kind of frustrating. I know I am losing weight, but it is a very slow process. I find the scale to be moving a lot less then I would like it too.
I know that is because I am doing this the right way, and not with some sort of diet or crash fad, but it would still be nice to see results a little more. My hope is that when I finally do start seeing the results, all the hard work will be my motivation to not crash back to old habits.
In the grand scheme of things, I know this is small potatoes compared to what some others are going through, but funks, well, they SUCK. I am ready to break this funk.
Actually, it feels better to just get that out. Blog Vent over!
In the meantime, here are my pictures for this week’s (less than) Wordless Wednesday. I had the privilege of attending Circus Couture this weekend with some friends. The Art, Cirque du Soleil show, and fashion were all amazing. And so was Erica’s Aerial Act. She wrote a guest post about St. Baldricks and Circus Couture you should really check out! (All photos taken by Lolo from Crazy About My Baybah!)
Dear Squishy will return next week…

Thanks for having me! I loved the show! I did not know that was Erica! I am so excited I got a good shot of her. 🙂
EVO is so going to get you going! Remember Bloggy Bootcamp, and all of the ideas we had after that? EVO is going to be exactly what you need!
And hold on Mama. Your hubs will be home soon!!

I think the pictures are great. And we all need to vent sometimes….I’m jealous that you are going to EVO….I want to go bad!

Oh my goodness! Looks like you guys had such a great time! I’m a bit jealous. BTW, we all get in those funks, I think. How long have you been blogging? I’m going on 5 years and I’ve had those funks MANY times and felt, why write. Really? Who’s reading this junk? But there’s this thing called the blogosphere, an amazing community that you love and guess what? It loves you back. 🙂 Chin up. Pip. Pip.

It’s also the weather. Seriously. I call it reverse seasonal affective disorder.

You are so not alone when it comes to being in a blogging funk! It happens from time to time. Just stick with it and don’t give up. And guess what…you ended up pumping out a post while in the midst of your funk. Woohoo! 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by and linking up for Wordless Wednesday. Hope you’re having a great weekend. 🙂

Thank you for the kind words Kristi! You are right. I don’t plan on giving up. I think most of it is I am just ready for the hubs to be home. Happy 4th!!
