Warning:
Please note this post is about potty training. If you don’t want to read about pee-pee and poo-poo, please check out my recent Disneyland Vacation Day 2.
(FYI – This post is best enjoyed by humming along to the tune of 12 days of Christmas…)
On the first day of potty training,
my sweet son gave to me
Ten soiled under-roos,
Nine requests for potty-time Elmo,
Eight cups of water,
Seven excited big boy dances,
Six sweet as pie hugs,
Five massive melt-downs,
Four loads of laundry,
Three pee-pees in the potty,
Two cute buns in under-roos,
And a migraine that couldn’t be beat.
We just finished the 1st day of the 3 day potty training method. I am hoping tomorrow is better. But, I am stoked to not have to change diapers anymore…
PS – I did leave out the time he tried to hand me a turd! ewwwww!!
I am linking up with Oh Amanda’s Top Ten Tuesday

We just went through the 3-day potty training about 2 months ago. We didn’t hit the 3 day mark…more like 5…but it works. It gets better I PROMISE. Just keep your cool…be consistent…and don’t give up even when you are mentally breaking down and crying at the end of the night with a class of wine in your hand (true story). Like I said, we are 2 months in and he is a peeing/pooping rockstar 🙂

Thanks!! I guess it is like your blog title! Good to know things are going well, although I do hear Rockstars are kinda messy! :O
LOL!! 🙂
hahaha This post is great and I did sing along to the 12 days while I read this. hehe
Good luck on the potty training, it sounds like quite an adventure so far! 🙂

Can’t wait for results from day 2 =) This post was great you totally made me smile this morning.
Ugh! Potty Training is my least favorite parenting thing. Although, now that I am parenting a pre-teen, I may have to adjust my list. 🙂 Potty training suddenly doesn’t look so tough. It’s good you have a sense of humor about it.
Oh no! The joys of parenting! I remember potty training because it was not too long ago. I realized with my daughter that when she was ready, she was ready. This next one, I will just not put all the effort I did with the first 😉
I am visiting from Top Ten Tuesday at Oh Amanda. It is nice to visit your blog today. Enjoy the rest of your week!

This is so cute and funny. I’m sure I won’t be laughing once my little one starts potty training though. 🙂 Keep up the great work, Mommy!
Stopping by from the To The Top Tuesday Blog Hop!
Good luck on your potty training, let me know how it goes.
I have a 3.5 year old I tried the 3 day method with and wasn’t successful.
I hope you will stop by my blog for a visit and follow along!
I did this a few months ago successfully with my daughter! Good luck!
Ha, ha! That’s great! If you can put a fun tune to the task of potty training then I think you’re doing well! Fun times!
That’s hilarious! I can totally empathize with you. I just potty-trained my daughter a month ago, and it is NO fun. I love how you made it funny at least. : )
Haha, I love it! I hope it goes better today!
Haha! Love the song! I just did a post today about potty training woes. It did NOT go well for us, so I wish you much luck and am eager to see how the 3-day method goes! 🙂
