“Children are made readers on the laps of their parents.”

Now that my son is a little older, and has discovered a healthy love of books one of the things I would love to do with his room is to add a reading corner where he can fall into a book whenever he pleases.
I turned to Pinterest for inspiration and this is what I found!
I really love this wall!

How creative to add book covers as art!
Since my son’s room is transportation themed, I think I could do this with son classic books on things that go!
We all know that children’s books can be hard to fit into standard size bookshelves.

I love the creative solution for this by using bucket on the bottom!
There is something nice about the simplicity of this space.

But I have to say, if I had the money and space, this would be a dream reading corner the whole family could use!

I love the bookshelf on the wall. That’s neat!
That reading corner is awesome! I really like the shelving in the second to last pic.
Me too!! Thanks Trisha!
Love the idea of a reading space.
I love the first one, but think my boys would probably use the tent version more often!
I think my guy would too – at least while he is young.
I like the wall.
great finds you found on pinterest
Great ideas! In my house, every space, is a reading space. ๐
I hope that to be the case in our home, but I like the idea of a special quiet place just for reading too! ๐
Our kids love to read and like Donna every area of our house is a reading nook! My kids love to read everything from Harry Potter to war books. Our entire house is littered with books.
Sounds like how I grew up! We could always take a book anywhere!
That last nook is amazing!
I know right!!
I like them all . I like the idea of using book covers for art.
Here is our reading corner.

Oh I love them all! I really want to create a space like any of those for my kids. I just need to figure out where I want it, and make sure it can be permanent before I put anything up, lol. I tend to move stuff around a lot!
I want to do something under the stairs like that last photo. It’s awesome and I myself would use that. I love to read.
