The Tribeca Film Festival Closing Night Screening Celebrates Everyday Heroes | #TheAvengersEvent

April 1, 2012 By Emily 14 Comments

theavengersevent04I am thrilled to announce that I have been asked to attend The Tribeca Film Festive closing night screening of Marvel’s The Avengers celebrating everyday heroes!

Honoring the spirit of the Tribeca Film Festival, the screening will allow the opportunity for Marvel’s The Avengers to celebrate everyday heroes from police agencies, fire departments, first responders and various branches of the U.S. military. These local heroes will have an opportunity to attend the screening and meet the cast.

To attend this event itself is an incredible honor, but to attend the event with the men and women who put their lives on the line everyday for our country is beyond humbling.  Having been through several deployments with my husband I know first hand the sacrifice these men and women make for their country, and the impact it has on their families.  I am constantly wowed by their inspirational stories.  I am also very happy to see that in a world where we create heroes on the page and screen, Marvel’s The Avengers and The Tribeca Film Festival are reminding us that we need to thank our everyday heroes that sacrifice so much for their country!

In addition to attending this amazing event, myself and 24 other amazing bloggers will have the opportunity to interview the cast and crew of Marvel’s The Avengers.

Speaking of everyday heroes – Check out this amazing homecoming video of a Dad surprising his son as Captain America!

Watch for more posts about my trip and the movie Marvel’s The Avengers.  Make sure you connect with Marvel’s The Avengers on Facebook & Twitter. Be sure to also follow the event hashtag #TheAvengersEvent on Twitter to keep up with the latest updates.

Disclosure: Disney/Marvel is providing me with an all expenses paid trip to New York City to attend an early screening of Marvel’s The Avengers. Any thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
