My Son is Officially a Kidville Camper! | Summer Activities in Las Vegas

May 24, 2012 By Emily 10 Comments

I’m sure every mother says this about their child, but my little Squishy is pretty smart.  He is always questioning how things work, exploring his world, dancing, being silly, and learning every step of the way.

As a stay at home mother I have the opportunity to find classes and nurture my son’s creativity.  I have checked out many different classes here in Las Vegas, and while they are all great in their own way, we have found a special connection at Kidville Tivoli Village.  It really is a great place for Las Vegas Families!

Last spring I enrolled my son in their Rockin’ Railroad classes and over the 16 weeks I watched him blossom in class.  He made connections with his teachers, and loved learning each week.  The first time I took him to class he clung to me, and was shy.  However, by the end of the 16 weeks the only issues we had were leaving!  He wanted to stay and rock out some more.

This summer I am thrilled to have my son enrolled in Kidville Camp.

ABOUT CAMP KIDVILLE:

Camp Kidville is offered in 2, 8, 12, and 16-week sessions from May to August.  Which is great for parents who have other summer plans.  No need to worry about paying for camp and then missing it due to a family vacation!  This also allows parents whose children may be a little hesitant to start camp to test the waters in shorter increments.  (Although, you should be warned, I haven’t meant a kid at camp who isn’t loving being there!!)

Camp Kidville’s has a policy of “ALL FUN, ALL THE TIME” Parents don’t have to worry about sweltering heat, rain, or sunburn,  Each week is filled with fun and structured activities like Art, Music, Gym, special Theme Days and more! Camp Kidville is open to children ages 18 months to 6 years old!

This week was my son’s second full week in Kidville Camp.  We go twice a week and he is loving every minute.  One of the reasons why I love Kidville so much as a parent is because I know my son is in great hands.  The program is based in early childhood developmental skills, but my so would never know he was learning because he is having so much fun.  Everyone at Kidville knows all the children by name, and makes sure to welcome them the moment they step inside!

Each week they focus on a few structured activities including Art, Science, Gym Time, and Music.  The class is scheduled so as there is no time to be board with any activity, yet plenty of time to learn and enjoy them.  It is so exciting to hear my son talk about his favorite parts of the day.  He absolutely adores the science time.

I’m excited as a parent for him to continue with the structured learning activities, learn to listen to adults other than mommy and daddy, and even to start the separation process during camp so that when he does start preschool he is okay with me not being by his side.  Kidville Tivoli Village has a special place in my heart for how well they treat not only my son, but all children that come through their doors.  You can really tell that the people working at Kidville love their job.

This is shown not only in how well they play and interact with the children, but how clean and well kept the facility is.  For all the children that come through their doors on a daily basis, I have little concern that my son will be playing in a clean and safe environment!  To me that makes Kidville stand out above the rest.  Not to mention just about every other month they have some sort of special event or fundraiser going on to help give back to our community!  We really enjoyed the Kidville Camp preview to help raise money for JDRF!

Stay tuned for more posts all summer long about the fun events and camp happenings at Kidville Tivoli Village in Las Vegas!
