Have you ever noticed as the seasons change so do your cravings for different foods? For me, fall comes along and I find myself craving foods I remember from growing up in Chicago. Foods of comfort and warmth. One my absolute favorite fall foods is Grilled Cheese! There is just something so filling and awesome about eating a warm and cheesy sandwich.
Occasionally when I dine out, I try to find fun variations on the classic grilled cheese sandwich. Recently I used a Restaurant.com e-certificate to check out a favorite local Las Vegas restaurant Hash House A Go-Go. This place is known for twisted farm food, but also I have never heard of anyone leaving this restaurant hungry! In search of a filling meal, I knew this would be a great place to check out!
Once there I noticed that they had a fresh twist of my fall favorite. The sandwich was served on Texas toast with a few layers of Prosciutto this grilled cheese sandwich. Instead of fries the sandwich was served with roasted potatoes tosses in a basil pesto with roasted red peppers. This meal definitely fit the comfort food category and left me full and warm! (I only ate 1/2 of it too!)
I think it’s always fun to try new foods when dining out, and using Restaurant.com e-certificates not only saves you money when dining, but gives you freedom to try new foods or stick to your favorite fall comforts!
Do you have a favorite fall food?
